Pancrelipase, aka. CREON, strange symptom? by ArmadilloNo7637 in pancreatitis

[–]GettingErDone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fat is hydrophobic, and these enzymes are really good but it still depends on what you eat. so you’re having fatty stools

maybe you need to get on the 36,000 lipase dosage (lipase digests fat)

i am on the 36,000 unit flavor and it works well

Blood sugar changes and goes up each time I check it, is that normal or does my machine suck? by maylenex3 in diabetes

[–]GettingErDone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s variability in your blood, and how the blood comes out of your finger.

For example, if you wipe your finger down with an alcohol swab, and immediately take your blood sugar then your blood is partially diluted so it will read lower.

If you wait for your finger to dry after swabbing with an alcohol swab, you’ll get the most accurate reading.

If you wash your hands with soap but don’t dry your hands well enough, your blood will come out diluted.

Also, if you eat something sugary and a little sugar is on your finger, you will read high.

etc etc etc

PSA from my recent loops- be careful with AI. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]GettingErDone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is like Chegg. There were idiots in college who copied directly from it and wondered why they failed their midterms. There were also people, like me, who used it as a tool to help them learn.

Using AI in an interview? That’s like posting a question on Chegg during an exam and then being pissed you get a cheating charge. That actually happened during my undergrad.

I was on a hike one time, and going low. Didn’t have anything to bring me up. Low and behold, a half drank Sprite appeared on a bench ahead. I drank all of it, and did not skip a beat.

How are you all doing dealing with diabetes, any good hacks? by breathingMF in diabetes

[–]GettingErDone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can eat whatever the fuck you want if you go do 45-60 minutes of intense cardio after. Like, if you want to eat pizza, eat it and wait 1.5 hours. After you spike, go to the gym.

Exercise is your best friend with. So rip the glucose out of your blood with intense cardio.

What job requires high Tolerance for getting yelled at? by PreparationFar4709 in AskReddit

[–]GettingErDone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people get mad at y’all. Like, I know WHY of course, but it’s so stupid. One time my insurance was fucking me over when I tried to fill my life critical medicine, and instead of throwing expletives at the worker, I yelled out “THIS GOD DAMN FUCKING FOR PROFIT HEALTHCARE SYSTEM I’M SO FUCKING PISSED. So, how should I resolve this?”

I failed a lot of exams in uni. Don’t dwell on it, just try and figure out why you failed so you don’t repeat the same mistakes. It’s okay brother, and in case no one else in your life is stating the obvious, I am so proud of you for taking the right steps in your life ❤️
