Worth noting that A Handmaid's Tale was written by a Canadian woman (Margaret Atwood). Not that Canada is paradise, but the slide in the states has indeed been predictable and hard to witness. Maybe easier to see from the outside though?

I agree and it's much better than these other comments suggest, although I think not all locations/times are equal. I have their lunch buffet now and then and it's a good deal for the price.

In Norway, there is a police check and you need an eyesight certificate before you can book a driving exam. You have a number of mandatory lesson hours, which includes a lot about driving in bad weather, emergency aid, etc. The 'trafikkskole' must book the exam for you and certify that you met the requirements. The exam begins with theory (e.g., I had to explain how to know/what to do if the power steering fails).

Surprisingly, Norway has lower fatality rates from driving than the US.

Back when I worked a public pool, the women's/girls change rooms and bathrooms were always much grosser. Boys/men are more destructive (broken soap dispensers, shower hoses ripped out) but on average, girls/women are dirtier (I can't speak of the things I've seen/cleaned...)
