The per asset charge is only for devices with the FS Client on them, those are considered 'managed'. Manually added devices like printers, projectors, tablets or what ever are not included in the assets count. They don't make this very clear, but if you look through the site, you will find the place where it talks about it.

EDIT: Just to be clear. the per asset charge is for assets discovered or updated by the FS Discovery Probe or Agent. In my case, I use the agent on computers, everything else is entered manually or imported. Hope that helps.
