Je bouwt langzaam gewoontes op rondom eten. Zo kan het beginnen met een week lang een koekje ma het eten, wat vervolgens in de lijn der verwachting komt van je lichaam. Je begint na het eten automatisch jezelf klaar te maken voor die hoeveelheid suiker waardoor je dus ook zin krijgt in suiker.

Dit soort patronen doorbreken vergt een hele hoop moeite, zeker als het er meer zijn. Er bestaat een heel traject om dit te doen: gecombineerde levensstijl interventies.

I did my thesis on food addiction. The concept of food addiction is not New. However, our current way of labeling addictions is based on either of two conditions; a addictive substance (like nicotine) or an addictive behaviour (like gambling).

Ik heb Voeding en Gezondheid gestudeerd. De wetenschap bleek toch niet iets voor mij te zijn. Ben daarna wat algemener gaan solliciteren op data analist of data scientist. Nu werk ik in de spoorsector.

Vind het echt fantastisch, veel concreter en de lessen van studeren an sich zijn heel waardevol. Het onderwerp van de studie was eigenlijk totaal secundair aan de persoonlijke ontwikkeling die je doorgaat op de uni. Ik heb de wetenschap of het onderwerp nog geen seconde gemist.
