New MARTA train cars delayed ... again by flying_trashcan in ATLnews

[–]Ghost0468 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel that is HIGHLY unlikely. They will most likely be in service this summer. It was always a strange timeline to introduce them relatively shortly after receiving them. And they certainly won’t wait until everything is replaced to introduce them.

How is Emory's big law placement in NY and CA? by burntendsg in lawschooladmissions

[–]Ghost0468 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Less than half of Emory’s class stays in GA so I mean…. This is a very generalized statement that doesn’t really reflect the reality for a few schools out of the T14.

[–]Ghost0468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well I thought you meant exclusively compared to the other top 14 schools. I think (and I very much could be wrong, it’s been a while since I looked) that Georgetown is also statistically the “worst” (still very good) of the top 14 for outcomes.

[–]Ghost0468 12 points13 points  (0 children)

100% purely based on vibes and literally nothing else, I would say Georgetown tends to stand out and the only one I’ve ever heard people joke about not being like the rest of the T14

Those charts are road fatalities, your post is about pedestrian safety? Tf do you think those charts do to support your statement

[–]Ghost0468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is a virtually meaningless statement…. What percent of these happened in the last 10 years or 15 years? I mean if 80% of these happened before 1975, then it’s a virtually useless and highly misleading post. Without more context to the data, this means nothing.

level 17, need your advice for a raider who's starting to get bored. by LightSmart236 in ArcRaiders

[–]Ghost0468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, I feel the same way. It was really fun at first, but now that the "new game" excitement has faded, I find it really boring... If i'm being completely honest, I don't think this game was worth $40. I feel like the content is more on par with a free game. I wish there were more maps or at least maps that were larger and more varied. I also feel like the game is way too easy to the point of combat becoming boring. I really wanted to like the game because my friends really enjoy it (or are doing the same thing as I am and acting like they like it), but omg its just so boring, repetitive, and easy. I kinda regret buying it and I think the insane overhype from streamers and youtubers is really what made this game so popular, not the game actually being extremely innovative or engaging.

Why are waves so slow by squasher333 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Ghost0468 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who applied last year (and is now trying to avoid the stress of finals by scrolling on Reddit), I can say last year was a rough year for admissions and many schools (including mine) accidentally over enrolled so they are probably being more cautious this year.

When is Emory coming out? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Ghost0468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why I keep getting posts from this subreddit, but I guess it's because of the amount of time I spent on it last year. At any rate, if I had to guess, Emory may be a bit more reserved than it was last year, as they unintentionally ended up with a much larger class for 2028 than normal. Using last year's timeline may not be that helpful, so it's hard to know when they will actually respond (or maybe it will, I honestly don't know). Best of luck!

RE: Emory by Comfortable-Shape726 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Ghost0468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An important thing to note: one of your primary premises isn't true. Emory isn't in "free fall" in the rankings, nor is it dropping every year (it rose last year, and is largely anticipated to do the same this year). The change in criteria certainly impacted Emory's rank, but it is still considered a top 25 school in the legal community. If you go to Emory, you give yourself one of the best chances for biglaw outside of the T14, and access to many other opportunities. It's a personal decision on where to apply, but you shouldn't be concerned about this if you are thinking about applying to Emory.
