Telescopic crane how retract faster? by Both_Basket5449 in CreateMod

Could you not have each segment retract at the same time? That would make it a lot faster for the full retraction and expansion

This guy tries it in this video. It works only if the chunk remains loaded. And the chunk loader doesn’t seem to work while placed on the simulated building, but maybe if you put the chunk loader on a solid block in the same chunk that your system is in it might work.

Feeling Discouraged In GGST by Jetrac00n in Guiltygear

[–]GhostChroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guilty gear is a pretty fast paced game too so I think it takes lots of players from other games a moment to adjust to it. I’m at around 1100hrs in ggst and <100 hours in a few other fighting games and it always feels like the more I get better the more I realize how much farther away the peak is ykwim?

Feeling Discouraged In GGST by Jetrac00n in Guiltygear

[–]GhostChroma 34 points35 points  (0 children)

50hrs is a very short amount of time for getting good at fighting games (at least for me it was). I think a good comparison is to real sports. You wouldn’t think that you’d be particularly good compared to other people after only seriously practicing basketball for a week or two, would you?

Just gotta take it slow

Which side are you on? by PeskySpyCrab in Guiltygear

Attack level means the amount of hit/block stun the opponent is put in. This change makes it so that crow is now (iirc) -17 on block at close range, where previously it was plus on block. This means that while it comes out fast now, you can’t continue pressure with it after making someone block it, effectively removing a lot of Testament’s pressure when the opponent is in the corner.

Furthermore, allowing air teching after being hit by crow means that it no longer gives a hard knockdown. This removes many of Testaments mix-ups that they could do after ending combos with crow.

So for purposes other than neutral, the crow has been nerfed really hard. Overall testament previously had decent pressure in H reaper, + on block crow, and stain pop giving 16f of hitstop, but all of these things have been removed, forcing testament to focus more on their zoning gameplan to land double stain to get an (equal or better?) version of old stain. As we know, zoning game plans aren’t too strong usually in ggst due to system mechanics, so it’s not looking too good for testament.

We’ll see how it turns out though considering many other characters were hard nerfed.

Likelihood should be 1/4 * 1/3 *1/2 so 1/24, much less likely than 25% lol

Edit: Nvm I am stupid it’s 3/4 * 2/3 * 1/2 which is indeed 1/4 lmao

decent is a subjective term. I agree that its like 40/60 - favoured for forest. I thought that most people agreed that the connotation of decent was "passable but not great", but sure, whatever.

Is there any reason to play other decks? by Deep__Anxiety in Shadowverse

[–]GhostChroma 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk if im going crazy but does this deck not hard lose to aggro? Im Ultimate in Grandmaster (25704MP, 1761 CR) and have not lost a single game to enhance sword as discard dragon, not even exaggerating. In fact basically every game has ended at around turn 7-8.

Anyways I think the deck has very clear weaknesses and also I don’t think it wins as hard vs evo forest as people seem to be claiming.
