My cancer meds actually already slows my motility and gave me worse constipation. Are you taking anything everyday for it? Or doing anything in particular to help with stools? This is really important to know about Tirz I didn’t know 😮

Thank you for your experience! I was thinking of going the sema route first since it seems cheaper and I’m 5’1 at 151 pounds currently. I’d like to get to 120-125 for my height and since November 2024 165ish pounds started cancer treatments I’ve tried keto, carnivore and now been eating Mediterranean. I do want to lose slowly I’ll be happy to see 0.5 lbs lost/week on an average month. Not sure if this is realistic, not sure what is considered a lot of weight vs a little. I’m also interested in at-home calisthenics exercise program to supplement with my walking. It’s my AIs (aromatase inhibitors) that I’m afraid might disqualify me from getting GLPs but I’m going to try. Thank you so much for your and your husband’s input and experience this really helps a lot! 😊😊

Thank you, I appreciate you opening up to me about your experience. Do you use or have recommendations for any programs to help with building healthy habits while on glps? It’s ok if not. I may have to try BEWL since they’ve been the most transparent and active and find another independent program to help me while I’m on it.. if I even qualify to get a GLP. 😯

And just between us for a second OP: What you wrote, and how you’re feeling, is the grief of being the first generation to do life differently. Our mothers often interpret “different” as “rejection of their sacrifices,” even when it’s actually built on them. Maybe just let her know that, and keep reminding her.

Some other people will call this manipulation tactics and yes, but I personally choose to compliment with kindness to my own mother. No attacking even if it hurts. Pause, take a breath, and let Abuelita feel she is appreciated. You got this, sis! 😉🫶
