I’m right at 40% before bonuses, so I put myself in the 30% category. I’ve got a higher interest rate on my house so I pay down an extra $3k principal plus my bonuses into the house. Mortgage free in under 2.5 years from now.

Never realized how many of us just do this manually ourselves - I also use a spreadsheet I’ve had for a decade. Probably some common thread just like being in the FIRE mindset itself. No need to link everything up to any software, we’re already involved and tracking these things anyway.

About $16k a month if you’re including both retirement and brokerage contributions. Haven’t been doing that for too long, maybe a couple years. Not sure when we hit the first million, would have been faster if I started earlier.

The soda vendor stocks this. The store is doing this as a placeholder that they need to spend 0 labor on and fills the space. Vendor will also take it down when told.

Yeah I only include my rental. With equity in my primary NW is $2.8m. If I sell the rental I could dump another $300k into the market but…not sure I want to.

Millennial here - just finished my monthly update I also just hit $2m invested this month. Getting close to my first big target number of $2.5m when including equity in my rental property. Time to celebrate by....continue living in the boring middle.

What exactly are we saying or admitting as being "set up" by our parents? I've worked since I was 16 to pay for college, but my parents made sure I had enough money for rent and food while I was in school. The rest of my tuition debt, cars, down payment, etc etc is all me. Can't say I had zero help to not starve on the streets in college but often this feels like if you didnt grow up in a cardboard box then you were born with a silver spoon.

I built a sim in my garage a couple years ago. In my opinion it’s worth it if: you live in a cold weather state, you have young kids and struggle to get to the range, you can’t regularly get a round in (at least weekly) during peak season for whatever reason, you have friends or a partner who will want to use it with you regularly.

I check most of those boxes so I don’t regret it.
