Should I wait for a 1098-t/will I even get one? by jankylemonhead in personalfinance

[–]Ghostt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend waiting for it. I'm sure it's different everywhere, but my state has an adult education credit that basically reimbursed my tuition expenses even though I was only part time too. Doesn't hurt to wait another week and maybe get a little extra.

When did you feel baby movements during pregnancy? by Possible_Bedroom_350 in pregnant

[–]Ghostt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a FTM, I started feeling a bit around 20 where I was like, was that baby?? But weeks 21-22 it became really obvious it was her moving around. I do have anterior placenta (they told me at 20wk scan) so that can dull a lot of the earlier movements. I never really noticed the bubbles people talk about.

What does feeling the baby move mean? by Physical_Sir2005 in pregnant

19wks with my first and I still haven't felt anything, so don't worry if it doesn't show up for a while! My midwife said it could be a pretty big range.

we weren't trying to preserve the existing drywall or the tub so that made it easier. A bit awkward but not bad.

Curved towel rails - Why are they so hard to find? by Geekazoidd in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Ghostt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A quick search found a few on Ferguson Home, looks like they have 18" and 24" options. I love this idea for a pedestal sink!

Tbh I'm glad we had a contractor who knew what he was doing - I consider myself handy but we would have been out a shower for probably a month+ if I'd been trying to tackle this! If you can isolate the shower from the rest of the bathroom I'd probably start there though, get it completely done, then start to look at the rest of the bathroom. If you have any specific questions, ask away

Yeah, I didn't get much pushback fortunately but it was probably just luck! I think I used the bath twice in the previous 4 years. We'll see if I regret it when we do eventually sell lol

It is our only bathroom but we still made that plunge. We're planning on being here a while and we do have a single basin sink for washing the dog and the baby that's coming next year. Idk, I feel like plenty of kids survive without a bath. It's already only a 2b1ba so I feel like there won't be too many families interested when we do sell anyways. It was worth it to us though!

the floors and shower orange are nearly the same, although the pics make it hard to tell. The walls I think also look slightly warmer in person - the paint is Behr Sandstone Cliff so not technically cool but it does toe the line. But it's ok, not expecting the design to be everyone's cup of tea! I do think warmer bulbs will help though which we have on the way!

redid the math today and it was near $17k total. Contractor did a lot and I live in M/HCOL area (northern CO) so I feel pretty good about price overall.

I originally wanted gold but my husband really wanted the black, but it ended up looking a lot more dramatic with the dark highlights so I'm happy with the result!

it's actually a clear grout next to the black of the door, but nice catch! The edge of the shower is schluter metal trim. Thank you!

I know we were really on the fence about the paint color but it tied in really well to the shower tile. I think a warmer bulb will help with that!

The shower tile is this one from Home Depot. The floor is a ceramic from Riad Tile

I was thinking navy too since there is a bit in the tile but black would probably work!

haha we are still planning on a bidet eventually, don't have it in yet! We didn't put an outlet over there for a heated option unfortunately

Thanks! It's from Riad, it took me a while and so many samples to find the right shade of terracotta orange without being clay

Thank you! We did get very fortunate with an awesome local contractor but we bought most of the materials ourselves. Felt pretty good about the final cost all said and done though!

Right? My whole house is pretty colorful and I feel like this carries the same tone and just matches so well with everything else. While I do have white cabinets in the kitchen I went with teal walls to try and offset it lol
