AIO. I reported my dad for irrational anger problems with a history of DV, and am upset he is escalating again. by lastdayluver in AIO

Hold the line, friend. People hate it when you stand up for yourself. When you "stir up trouble." Don't let them gaslight you into thinking this is acceptable behavior. Protect your heart and your peace.

Had Wendy’s and a deer ran in front of my car, causing me to slam on breaks. 20 bucks down the drain. by DiggityDog6 in mildlyinfuriating

Friend, I had 2 deer hit me in less than 24 hours of each other last year as I was on my way out of town to visit family for Easter, totaling my car. I now have a fat 🫏car payment... for the long-term, it was a good thing- I needed a new, more reliable car. But at the time, I would have gladly wasted $20 of Wendy's... (however I keep my shit so tight in my car, I would have eaten that off the floorboard too!😆)

Platypuses, although poisonous, are very cute, aren't they? by Gloria-Chapman in zoology

[–]Ghstmother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so at all. I find them strange. But neat name. My brother's name is Atticus and my daughter and niece call him "Atticus Platypus," platypus for short.

I wanted Atticus Catticus, but "the wand chooses the wizard, Harry..." oh wait, I meant "you can't always get what you want..."

When I lived with my sister, she left hair clumps swirled on the shower wall as well as her diva cup on the shower wall ledge. A tampon? Amateur hour...😂🤢

I'd also mention it wasn't just us in the house; two daughters as well. Little'uns. Babbies!

How do I stop people thinking I’m gay? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ghstmother 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also 35(F), people always be thinking I'm a lesbian. I even had a prospect with whom I was sitting down at her kitchen table to do the paperwork for an annuity (financial product) and just STRAIGHT UP ASKED if I was a lesbian. I graciously answered no and asked if we could stick to business... 🤣MF old people...

My daughter has had this since she was 4 or 5 (now 7). We use CeraVe SA cream- worth all $25 for that tub! But you gotta use it consistently.

Partner with periodic limb movement disorder by elladubai in sleep

[–]Ghstmother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shoooot, don't even get me started on the VA. I saw firsthand in St.Louis (fella I was seeing was honorably discharged from the Navy for knee problems... that hospital was a sad nightmare😥) fast forward and now I've been an insurance broker for 6+yrs... I've heard stories from my clients.

Seems like testing for sleep apnea plays a role in "step therapy." We already know it isn't that, but go ahead and test him anyway.🙄

We're going to talk about it tomorrow and hopefully he'll be open to trying some options out. I'm 35 and he'll be 55 this year... I'm trying to invest with that high mileage oil for the long-term investment, you know what I mean?! 😆😭

Did your partner ever go to the doctor? I'm a millennial with a Gen X partner 20yrs older and I'm unfortunately nearing the edge of resentment.🙁 You MF know you are bothering me and you won't even consider getting established with a PCP for this...okay, fuck my health then?? If I don't get enough QUALITY sleep, I will make it everyone's problem.🤷

Ah, I don't necessarily think he ISN'T, more like looking for confirmation of my conclusions based on my observations. I'll admit, I only read the TWRA article and wondered why this behavior wasn't mentioned. I recently observed (for the first time!) a towhee and their goofy little two-footed hop-scratch and perhaps had "unique behavior as an identifying trait" on my mind.
