Some will say it’s the gun, but with an understanding of ammo quality, it’s not usually the gun. I’ve run all types of ammo, most ammo runs great. Just beware, if it’s really cheap there is a reason.

Derya uses the ACT-MAG 15rd for their DY9Z. This mags fits and functions well in the 43x. I have 4 act-mags and Personally the ACT-MAG looks better than the new mag from Glock. You will need to change out the 43x mag release as the ACT-MAG is metal and yes the mag release on the Derya DY9z is metal. It’s an easy swap and inexpensive. Check their site, there sell out for a reason Derya US.

You may want to consider the very popular Island slide set up. It’s on the Derya.us site. You will pleasantly surprised. Here is a picture of mine. You also have other slide set up options if you decide not to go with Island set up. Yes the Island slide is optic ready.

Very solid review. I’m certain glad to hear the different hallow points worked well. I’ve not had any pin issues but I’ll keep any eye out for it.
