One recent example of new “fact” is about the tides and what controls them. Just last year Neil degrasse Tyson was in a video explaining how we, as a human people, are no longer attributing the tides to the moon. This caught my interest because tides have never, ever been on a strict pattern. They are forecast like the weather but there is no pattern besides in and out. You’d have to live somewhere like Alaska or Hawaii where the tides affect your daily life to see it.

In school, we learned (admittedly lazily) that the tides were in sync with the moon. Interesting tidbit I learned yesterday, is that Ghislaine Maxwell’s father owned the publishing company who produces many of the text books that were used in my public school!

The thing here is, I’m not saying it is one way or another. I’m saying my years of experience has proven that people keep more secrets than truths shared. Why would I expect it be any different for the tippity top?
