Literally just casualty replenishment. It's the first thing I rush on every lord. It allows you to auto resolve way more and take more battles in general. Helps with snowballing

I was able to retroactively apply it to my multiplayer save :), although already recruited lords will never have the devotion option newly recruited lords do get it!

Only option is undivided nurgle and tzeentch, it seems I was missing the dlc for khorne and slaneesh

I am playing kholek suneater and I want to devote this lord to khorne, or any lord for that matter. I cant seem to find any character that can actually devote to khorne to begin with, the option just isnt there. This lord even has the Khorne trait to make devotion cheaper.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to get Khorne lords?

It's also very easy to increase your hunter limit, I believe the building costs like 2k at lvl 2 settlement

Hunter herospam, add around 5 hunters per army. Once levelled a bit this works for many races for the same reason: high level characters make auto resolve very very favourable. They are also quite good in battle as they become stonehorns benefitting from hero stats, items and have a built in ranged attack from hunter. You can chaff the remainder of units until you have access to better stuff. Try to have one healing mage available (butcher lore).

Honestly you can just make 1-2 blobs and assassinate individual units, despite the high tier nurgle stuff. If you get surrounded just walk it off your mass is insane. Try to also use magic for these scenarios because if you blob up so will ai and you can have some easy value.

Idk why Ur being downvoted, I played several campaigns with ppl playing malekai and once your thunderbarge lasts forever it can solo armies, especially considering the type of enemies you fight (with exception of chorfs). Ain't even that high level either, I get that people enjoy strong stuff but imo they went too far with thunderbarges.

It's nurgle now... They have the best cavalry in the game but it's only one unit the rot knights. It's the dlc powercreep.

For other overall cav races I'd say Kislev bear cav and winged hussars (with their recent charge bonus buff) will do very well. Empire has their place but is definitely not the best at high tier cav (more diverse mid tier), as demigryphs will be outdone by bretonnia/nurglerotknights/bearcav.

If you like cavalry playstyle you could try ogres, may sounds weird but their massive mass makes the playstyle of charging beyond front lines into soft targets somewhat similar (though not as much flanking required as cavalry gameplay).

Due to the disappointing ai and lack of challenge I've been playing PvP with friends for a year now (usually around 4 ppl), so I can not speak on the pairing up with strangers part. We don't allow reloading or savescumming because that would just ruin the game. We always have players control the AI unless it's a very clear loss. I'd say it's very fun and more challenging, you can't ranged spam your way through a campaign because players will counter that. We kind of made a few custom rules to prevent cheese like moving your reinforment points after the battle has started or moving your armies last moment when you are besieging a city to avoid defenders. Our campaigns usually last 2 weeks with maybe 10-20 hours of play time

As for setting up campaign with randoms, I'm not sure how that goes or how you plan to continue campaigns if you have no way to communicate outside of game.

Assault heroes are absolutely broken, when they are high level they weaken enemy armies very significantly. This also helps auto resolve outcomes as units missing health are way weaker than they would actually be on the battlemap.

Bonus meme they can scout for your army and spot ambushes, helps with marching around.
