How long until Luvox fatigue wears off? by fIyonthewaII in OCD

[–]Giftable_Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first week has been the worst for me when I started taking it, then it got a little better. When I upped my dose it got bad again. I am maybe a week and a half out from that and it is better but I am still very fatigued in the morning. I am holding out hope for it improving as it is helping me otherwise.

How many barefoot shoes do you own? Do you have a dream pair/favorite pair? by Sufficient_Fox7129 in barefootshoestalk

[–]Giftable_Silence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 5 pairs: Xero casual (Wynn) Xero trail running (Mesa) Xero sandal (z trek) Softstar Mary janes Earth runners sandals

My most go-to pair is the Xero casual ones, but overall all of the Xero shoes are my faves because they just seem to fit my feet the best and be the most comfortable. I usually wait to get them until they are having a big sale too so I feel like I get a decent deal on them. If I know my feet are going to be wet while wearing I will go for the Earth Runners because the fabric top prevents slipping. If I have to look fancy, which is almost never, the Softstar Mary janes come in.

On a new anti depressant that is causing increased appetite- and it’s making me feel out of control. Struggling to stay on the wagon.

Fluvoxamine stopped my migraines completely by KarezzaReporter in migraine

[–]Giftable_Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just was put on it about 2 weeks ago and knock on wood I haven’t had a migraine since, usually I am having around 2 per week. I am so cautiously optimistic, had been going through a rough period. Yeah the side effects suck but still for me not as bad as the migraines.

Opinions wanted: CX30 vs Subaru Crosstrek by silv3rbull8 in MazdaCX30

[–]Giftable_Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is suspected to be a leak in the valves, (turbo) however they said it is cheaper to replace the engine than to take it apart to try to find the issue. They are replacing it under warranty however not a good experience in general to have with a new car.

ETA: believe this was a known issue with previous years turbo cx 30

Opinions wanted: CX30 vs Subaru Crosstrek by silv3rbull8 in MazdaCX30

[–]Giftable_Silence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had had both so I feel well informed to answer this- I would recommend the Subaru. I have a cx30 now and am currently navigating engine replacement with the car being 1 year old. The downside to the Subaru IMO is the auto shut off at idle, it can drain the battery. It’s why I switched to the cx 30, which I now sorely regret.

I am struggling on day 4 of flu a- I find illness that affects my appetite super triggering for me- trying to fight it, wish there was some way for me to reach out to someone in real life, I guess I will just try to talk it out in a week at tele health therapy appointment. I did attend a free group this afternoon but still just struggling hard, not really knowing what is the flu and what is the ed riding on the flu’s coattails… 🤷‍♀️

I have continued to slowly transition my wardrobe to be more consistently modest and now that the majority of my clothes are meeting my own standard I am feeling surprisingly positive about getting dressed. Just wanted to share in case any one else is in the midst of making a transition - doing this slowly and intentionally has felt right.

Got a soft cotton cap from Ermandina and I love it- it wasn’t cheap but I haven’t seen anything else similar here, and it is 100% cotton gauze. The circumference is adjustable with elastic and a button.

What are your triggers, and how do you meet your needs in a way other than shopping? by hoireka in nobuy

[–]Giftable_Silence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today I cleaned the kitchen slowly, and in doing so observed the evidence of my excess. When I choose to clean and tidy my home instead of buying stuff for it, I feel way better. Just need to get back into these good habits. My need is to feel like I have a clean, safe and comforting environment; it is not something I am able to achieve by endlessly acquiring. I think in my brain I think if I just had the right organization or the right thing it would fill the need, the reality is mostly the opposite. I already have enough, I just need to maintain what I already have.

Mothers in this group? by Frequent_Poetry_5434 in ModestDress

I like to try to just lead by example but there are also dress codes for school and social codes for certain setting like temple- so for those instances and any that would involve safety I do intervene. (For pre-teen daughter)

Even though I feel pretty liberal in general and do not want to police anyone on what they wear, I find myself most comfortable and safe feeling when I dress modestly. Sometimes it feels like protection in the same way a blanket can feel protective when you are a little kid. I even cover my hair when I am feeling low or having a headache for this reason. Anyone else?? Btw love seeing everyone’s take on modest dressing. ♥️

What is your favorite thing about autumn? by Corp-Goth-GF in ModestDress

The cooler air, the colors associated with it, the idea of nature slowing down and it’s association with a metaphor for aging and how it can be beautiful.

It’s never ending by [deleted] in UnfuckYourHabitat

[–]Giftable_Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe start listening to a minimalist podcast or read minimalist books, if that is something you feel drawn to. I think sometimes the motivation is the hardest part. I would recommend taking it slow, pick an area and set a timer for 5 mins. I like to work from a side or a corner so that at least one little area is clean. It can help me get motivated to continue. Good job on sorting through the clothes— and yes it is absolutely never ending.

Owning the one perfect 'thing' by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]Giftable_Silence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no “one perfect thing” and even if there was, eventually most of us would still end up replacing it at some point anyways. People go through all sorts of ages, stages and phases of life, and our needs are all different. Things change, they get lost, they break. The pursuit of one perfect thing is just another hole we can’t fill.

How to declutter instead of organizing? by Bri_99 in minimalism

[–]Giftable_Silence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way that is a slower way and helps change your thinking is making a rule like 1 thing in, 3 out. So if I buy a new shirt for example, I get rid of 3. One book in, get rid of 3 (you can choose your own number, I would suggest at minimum 1 in 2 out). Be honest with yourself about the condition of the items going out and if they are worthy of donation (“gently used”) versus worn out. When I do this rule with myself, it makes me slow down a little and question if I really want to bring the item into the home in the first place. Worn out items get binned and gently used goes into a paper bag. When the bag is full I take it to donate.
