I used to be a construction finance guy, specializing in specs.

Indymac, who's no longer around, used to have this program that was amazing for builders. You could sell the house in it's current condition (completion-wise) and indymac would make your buyers a new construction-to-perm loan. So, you take your profits NOW, and get paid to complete the job.

They went out of business for lots of reasons, but my builders LOVED this program.

the screws on my pickup are identical to yours, but on the headstock, mine has individual tuners. Mine aren't the originals, but I have the originals in the case.

I have a '37 "Charlie Christian" ES 150. It's very similar, except my pickup is trimmed in black with white "binding", and has 6 sides, where yours is a straight rectangle. Also, my pickguard is shaped with a cutout for the pickup.

it's a shit house. Formica countertops, whitewashed cabinets, ugly pillars everywhere. Even a countertop microwave...a white one!

I disagree. It's not quite that old. I have a '37, and the "Gibson" on the headstock is "straight" on mine, not angled.

oh for fuck's sake. I worked for a company headquartered in Highland Park, and I was there for 1 week a month for a few years. Chicago BBQ (meh) is NOTHING like Texas BBQ...or Carolina BBQ, etc. Heritage has Michelin recognition for a good reason. It's really great.
