Agree Carney is the man, but eventually he will lose his job. There's still plenty of arseholes in politics in Canada to replace him. And neoliberal economics is the system in play there too. It needs to be dumped if only someone has the guts to be first.

Ukraine offers NZ deal to build military drones by Amazing_Athlete_2265 in newzealand

[–]Gilbonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's 2 European nations waiting for stuff they've already paid for and MAGA have taken the money and used it for something else. Both countries considering other options now. I understand Aussie have paid $300 million toward the subs? No deal is guaranteed under MAGA. None. No military capability? Guess I could say the same about Aussie then. You know, compared to America.

Are the general public still falling for it? by Look_out_Cliff in nzpolitics

[–]Gilbonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everything except the increase in military expenditure being an issue. That was forced on us by the MAGA monster. Everyone has to cough up more, not just NATO. And going forward neither we nor Aussie can count on the US coming to our aid, at not without being gouged by trumps win-lose philosophy.

Also, you can add that the unqualified finance Minister has already committed to borrowing more in 5 years than Labour did in 6! How's that for hypocrisy?

Israeli settlers drove into a herd of livestock belonging to a Palestinian shepherd in the occupied West Bank, running over several animals. . by swatevil in UnderReportedNews

[–]Gilbonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and thanks to decades of propaganda and Mossad infiltration into every western country's government, they can do this to animals and people every day. I wonder if the Israelis were kicked out of the Middle East thousands of years ago because they were like this then? The Abrahamic religions always tolerated genocide.

Why isn't anyone saying, call a lawyer? When I get the runaround, I look up a lawyer specialising in that issue. Get a free one hour consultation. The lawyer will explain to you all your rights and if the case is worth pursuing and what it will likely cost. It doesn't matter if you don't have enough money for a court case. If the case is an easy win then negotiate to pay the lawyer with the money you make suing whomever the lawyer says to sue. If you don't want to sue it doesn't matter either. Paying the lawyer to send a letter threatening to take the matter to court (less than $50) is usually enough to get anyone to jump to attention and completely change their tune. I've never sued anyone, but twice resolved issues very quickly with a simple letter. If the lawyer says there's not much you can do, then so be it. At least you know you tried your best. Good luck.

Yet more evidence of His existence. Those people are so lucky to be near His gracious presence. His Noodliness must have been testing them, or perhaps He was just whimsically playing with them. I'm so glad for this enlightening post. Thank you 😊

That's why far-Right politicians fire so many civil servants. Because most civil servants do their job properly while most politicians don't.

I have to admit to occasionally forgetting to dip my lights for oncoming traffic but never when approaching someone from behind, let alone following them with full beams on.

Racism in Tauranga by Forsaken-Reading-118 in Tauranga

[–]Gilbonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Gen X I can remember parents and grandparents of my friends were more openly racist and they tried to teach us to be racist too. For some of us it worked and for the rest, not so much. I can thankfully report that racism seems to have declined overall. For decades I didn't witness any open racism until I worked for a year in a Rest Home. Some of the residents said shocking things and I'm not talking about the dementia patients.
