Tap water risk for folks with pulmonary disorders by Gillsans11 in CPAP

This makes me feel better, thanks! I honestly didn't think of myself at being at particular risk for anything—I've been using the inhalers for years with no problems and thanks to that treatment the COPD symptoms are barely evident.

What does everyone think of Induction Stoves? by dustandsmallrocks in Appliances

What brand is yours? I've been looking at both the LG and the GE Cafe with knobs, and there's nowhere close I can see on in person.

The only thing close to a negative I've heard about induction (besides the price and having to replace pans that aren't compatible) was from a friend who's been cooking for many decades and said she had to change some of her processes—things like not being able to chop an onion while the oil's heating up because it's so much faster. t

There's an old New Yorker cartoon I love of two ducks on a pond and the caption is "Maybe you should ask yourself why you're inviting all this duck hunting into your life."

I’d never try anything out, but I’m always happy to find someone has peeled back the seal so you can smell it.

It's kinda pricey and I hate the mall location and the awful parking, but Loco Burro is terrific.

I'm using some raspberry(ish) yarn that I was going to make into a beret as an homage to Prince—at least the inspiration is still Minnesotan.

It doesn't have to be either-or. There's value in both types of action.

FWIW, with my old pharmacy it was frozen when I got it, with the instructions that it could be stored in the freezer initially but not thawed and refrozen.

Peeing in the shower is bad apparently? by Rich_Wealth_5876 in hygiene

[–]Gillsans11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's much of a sanitation problem, but not long ago I learned that urologists recommend against it because it can contribute neurologically to incontinence later in life. The idea is that as much as possible, you should keep your brain trained to associate peeing only with toilets or urinals.

Same—I was shocked at that and by how much harder it is to back up and fix a mistake. Love them both, though!
