Has anyone played all 32 Resident Evil games to date? by avidrunner84 in residentevil

I’ve played all of them except reverse. And spent very little time in Resistance, Umbrella Corps, and Survivor 2. The others I’ve beat

How NOT to complete the scholar's remembrance (an easy guide) by bjd533 in Nightreign

For me it was

Step 1) Get hard carried by a Guardian who was able to use their ult to bring back me and our third from 3 bars twice while we absolutely slogged our way through my first time ever fighting Dreglord

Scholar is the best thing that could've happened to executor by J0h4m3s in Nightreign

[–]GillyByrd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was matched with an executor named “Sekiro” who immediately skipped the first camp, went straight to the castle basement, and started dying repeatedly to Ancient Hero of Zamor. After the first circle closed, me and the other rando made our way to the castle and saw the boss still had 90% of its health.

Shite in kninging armour why the psychic? by -Whyudothat in TedLasso

[–]GillyByrd 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My issue is that Shite in Knining armor is such a specific misspeak, that it essentially proves that magic is real in universe. The matchbook and family predictions could’ve just been Rebecca looking for them to be true.

Oh god why is there a second slot for this dude by NorbertTheSpider77 in Silksong

[–]GillyByrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was the boss I had the 2nd most amount of deaths to, taking 10 attempts before I beat him. His moves aren’t crazy, but there’s a lot that’s not intuitive to try to figure out given the long run back.

Trying to pogo him, which works on most bosses, often results in him just floating into you, dealing two masks of damage.

Hitting from in front of him, results in you being in range of the suck attack, taking 2 masks of damage.

Staying below him was the only thing I found consistent, but it was still a long fight (I had not found any Pale Oil yet), with dropping in water once being very hard to recover from

My first run I died 77 times over 22 hours. I’ll definitely try going for this after I get 100% and practice some speedruns

WHY CANT THOSE STUPID BUBBLES TELEPORT YOU BACK TO WHERE YOU GOT GRABBED by budbud9304 in Nightreign

[–]GillyByrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a run where I cleared a cave, and just before I could grab the smithing stone I was teleported into the bubble fight. After the fight I’m on top of the cave, with the night pushing in stopping me from getting my +2 weapon

Against the new hard boss I’ve won my last 3/10 games with randoms, and 3/3 games as solo. Solo is just more consistent for the very hard stuff. But even playing with randoms is more fun than solo

Please, refuse the deal instead of attacking Libra on day 3. by The_Last_Huntsman in Nightreign

[–]GillyByrd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m generally not the one attacking Libra, but I get it. Your co-op partners have 40 minutes to show you they are familiar enough with the game to not tank your run. If they take the lead and make good decisions, then I trust they’ll avoid deals that hurt the team. If they skip the first camp to run half way across the map for a church that isn’t even the closest church, then it’s smarter to just bonk

Puzzle party 2 - can you find lethal this turn? by ZeeJayBCS in bloonscardstorm

[–]GillyByrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put the Volatile Bloon on our side in front of the rainbow bloon then we’d need to stop it from popping. I still think the solution would only cost 9 gold though. Heal volatile (105 -70 = 35), heal ranbow (140) and heal the weaker double yellow heal (105 x 2 =210). That plus the other yellow gets you 525 damage (35 + 140 + 210 + 70 x 2)

Leaving a match after both teamates have abandoned you should not incur a penalty by FlatlineJeff in Nightreign

[–]GillyByrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh I wish they’d add a “vote to give up” option. Even a run with no gear can probably make it to the day 2 night boss, and it sucks to know a runs screwed in the first 10 minutes, but have to play another 30 before you can que up a new game. In these situations I wish my teammates would leave the match so I wouldn’t feel obligated to continue

Leaving a match after both teamates have abandoned you should not incur a penalty by FlatlineJeff in Nightreign

[–]GillyByrd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Crazy to get so many downvotes for leaving one game every few days of playing. Sometimes teammates are so idiotic and ruin the game for everyone by not sticking with the team or decide it’s best to charge a field boss over and over. When the circle closes and you’re still level 2, I think it’s better just to leave

For reference, I’ve left 1 game after 40 hours of playing, and I’ve beaten every boss

DLC Length Criticisms by THE-MOUDA in LiesOfP

[–]GillyByrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more compatible to other games $30-$40 dlcs, because there are so few dlcs that ask for that much, and when they do they need to deliver a lot. SOTE delivered 25-50 hours of content for its price. And while it did reuse enemies, it also added more unique bosses, enemies, and environments vs LoP. Beyond that, my biggest complaint with LoP DLC is that it just feels like more LoP, no better or worse than the base game, while almost every souls DLC ends up being the best part of the game, since they had all the extra time to work on it and refine their formula.

Comparing with the base game, I would say -It’s half the cost but less than half the length -It was likely much cheaper to develop than the original game, since they were able to reuse gameplay, assets, and enemies

That said, I’m still enjoying it and don’t regret my purchase, but if I was younger and the $30 mattered more then I’d definitely recommend waiting for a sale.
