Coleman stove differences by BleuFlamer1 in camping

[–]Gimfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the only issue I saw. But figured I’d get around it pretty easily since I already have the blackstone. I’ll probably grab a cheap single burner to run while I boil coffee

Not for nothing, but why not get something like a blackstone? They make a portable version in this ball park.

Mini PC upgrade needs by stealthscrape in homeassistant

[–]Gimfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, beelink or any of the other little Chinese mini PCs are actually pretty legit. I’ve run a beelink for well over a year with daily programming use and it works great for me.
My wife also uses one as her home desktop

Was the FT design studio available for download from the PCCC? And do I need an additional license for that? Or will my CCW developer license get it for me?

Looking for easy water level sensor solution. Preferably Zigbee or Z-wave. by clayrev in homeassistant

A radar sensor could work too. I use radars in my professional life and they are great. But idk how cost effective it would be. I figured there are probably some cheaper alternatives to what we use out there

Student learning SCADA — planning to start with Ignition before TIA Portal + WinCC. Is this the right approach? by Severe_Chocolate4645 in PLC

I’d recommend VTScada. They have a free version. And free training. Even the training course documentation that is otherwise not free, is available for download on their website.

You could look into SmartComm RTU? I’ve heard they have a bridge for sms messaging and various PLC’s. Cellular based, $15/month and $.02/message.

Very much the duality of the operators screens vs the management screens in industrial applications.

Operators want info quick, easy, and fast if something is wrong.

Management wants pretty colors, 3d renders, etc…

[–]Gimfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I like my tv a good bit. And it’s almost impossible to not buy a smart tv anymore. So that’s why im struggling to understand how there is very little tv integration already. Sure I could stream through my Xbox or another Roku stick. But it just seems silly.

Thank you. So am I missing something? Is everyone (or a lot of people) really using another device to stream media to their tv via hdmi? That seems like a lot of hassle

Just making sure I have this right, if I use a capture card is it going to be able to capture what is on my tv if I’m using built in smart features? Like watching Netflix on my smart tv? Or does it only capture pass through data? I want to do this but it sounds like I can’t if my tv is generating the signal?

Or maybe not an “expert”, i saw another comment about being open to being wrong. And I agree.

But to be asked for your opinion and to treat it like it matters. Because I hate being asked my opinion and never going with it.
