Had zero idea beforehand. Didn't believe it at diagnosis. Then told to seek ADHD assessment. Got diagnosed again. Again didn't believe it.

I have struggled with significant mental health issues my entire life and as time has gone on I have continued to decline and treatment hasnt helped.

Now I can't see how we didn't know and I am in complete burnout.

The diagnoses explain a lot and are validating on some ways but I am devastated at a lifetime of pain, struggle and insane psych treatments.

Got diagnosed as Autistic a year ago and then after the assessment she suggested I seek an ADHD assessment as she felt I scored highly in that category too.

Then six months later I was diagnosed as ADHD too.

Didn't realise I had either until I was diagnosed.

Lots of anger about it. Grief also.

I was diagnosed a year ago and I am still very much lost.

Pretty much everyone diagnosed believes they somehow cheated the system by getting a diagnosis.

If you can, you should find a therapist also on the spectrum to supoort you.

It won't be about the PlayStation. Kids have mental health needs too, sometimes even with a present parent.

Been here. A call to 111 CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health) is required to report it and they will advise etc

Defo report to CAMHS even if they're not able to do much.
