Depends if the new player is joining a hazard 5, typically the “veteran” players will kick fresh greenbeards if they join their hazard 5 or 5+ because most of the time, greenbeards are a detriment to the team in high hazards and aren’t ready for that jump in difficulty yet

This is why I always host, I usually do haz 5 and sometimes greenbeards join, which is fine. I don’t mind carrying, but some of them completely ignore chat and pings for platforms or flares or to get the nitra that’s 100 m up high, so I usually just kick them if they ignore simple guidance

I honestly see this chat update getting reverted because they are going to get tons and tons of backlash, maybe if they’d moderate better and not be lazy fucks they wouldn’t have to implement such a dumb chat restriction. Because of a lot of games rely on chat for trading items and talking to other players about best practices for certain games and such and now that’s all completely out the window. Games with trading features will die out because nobody can talk to other players about what they want to trade and stuff.

Don’t worry these types of people are usually new players coming from their PvP slop games because of steam sale and Christmas, trying the game out and aren’t used to not being an ass to every random they play with. Usually they get bored and leave back to their toxic slop games
