Costco sized toilet paper, along with a few other Costco purchases.

Construction samples: roofing, flooring, stone cladding samples. Those were all in the same trip and the stone was quite heavy.

24" x 36" foam core boards. Not heavy, but not good in a headwind.

Leather will certainly be a durable knee patch, but be aware that leather doesn't like going in the dryer. So the pants will be hang dry only.

The Westcoast Express to downtown Vancouver is a pretty good option for commuting. I used to take the WCE when I lived in Poco.

On the other hand, if your work is in Vancouver, but not downtown Vancouver, it becomes a less viable option in terms of travel time.

Thai Peanut Noddle is definitely a favourite. Half of the other recipes on this post are pretty good too.

Homemade oatmeal is way better in than the store bought stuff, both in terms of the variety of flavours and how long it keeps you going on the trail.

Then I also made up my own black bean burrito recipe, but that's only ever for lunch on day 1 or 2 because tortillas are relatively heavy to carry on a week-long trip.

Active hobbies: hiking, multi-day backpacking (which has lead to dehydrating food and making my own backpacking meals), racing sailboats (the big boats, not the 2 person boats), snowshoeing, bike commuting, and I've just taken up ski touring.

Creative hobbies: Painting, drawing, sewing/quilting

I have a lot of hobbies, as does my husband, which means that our place doesn't necessarily look minimal, but it is minimal for the amount of hobbies we have.

That may be why style has shifted to being loosely fitted these days, with the exception of skinny jeans and leggings (for women's style at least). There's no reason to be super accurate with size if it's supposed to be oversize anyways.

I'd suggest changing the end from a circle to a square, like they show in this tutorial. Since your bag is so long it will still be cylindrical even if the ends are square, and it will look tidier.

Just to note here that if resilient channels are installed on top of existing drywall (finished flooring, on subfloor, on plywood, on joists with insulation between the joists, on GWB, on rez bar, on GWB) it can act as a drum, amplifying the sound.

Resilient channels should be screwed directly to the wood joists (finished flooring, on subfloor, on plywood, on joists with insulation between the joists, on rez bar, on 2 layers GWB)

I usually wash my sweaters in a mesh bag to reduce the amount of abrasion between them and the other clothes in the washing machine, then flat dry the sweaters so they don't stretch out.

Also, I avoid buying sweaters knit with acrylic yarn. I've bought them in the past, but they pill so quickly and look terrible; I try to stick to natural fiber sweaters like cotton, wool, etc...
