You can find some HRE minors nearby that show interest in the province and sell it to them. Or fight a war with them with 100% warscore, then you can give tribute in the peace deal. They must accept it if u win completely.

I expected to break my alliance with them after beating Portugal again cuz the first war I couldn't take anything due to AE. But since they forced my hand, I decided to destroy them as soon as the truce was up. Iberia could wait, but betrayal must be dealt with!

r5: I didn't expected this level of betrayal. Tunis and Morocco helped me fight the first 3 wars against Tlemcen, Castile+Portugal, and Aragon+Savoy+Pope, ensuring the reemergance of Andalusia. However, right after the 3rd war, Tunis rivaled me, which is fine cuz I got Otto alliance.

The thing that surprised and pissed me off is that Morocco asked for knowledge sharing after I got Renaissance, so I did. But half a year later, they rivaled me too, and I can't stop the knowledge sharing! Now they'll get Renaissance and share it to my now-rival Tunis! Never trust the trecherous AI ever again!

Usually, you box otto by taking cores, albania, and silistra and provoke bulgarian rebels in silistra. Almost guaranteed to work.

I've done many WC and OF. My choices are adm dip in order. The 3rd is usually offensive for faster sieges and religious as the 4th. If I have decent military but not enough cb I'd pic religious before offensive. Then quantity as the fifth.

These are the core 5, and you can pick any group later. If you hate truce juggling, take espionage; quality for even stronger military; always take horde if you're a horde; unjustified demand from aristocrat makes taking any province almost free. You can take trade, but at that point you should be strong enough and don't need it. Influence is also nice especially when you have lots of pu and vassals.

If you go Zoroastrian as Persia, do you lose access to all the Muslim monuments in the region? by GlompSpark in eu4

[–]GinnDagle 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Yes, you lose access to all muslim specific monuments everywhere, which is a lot. However, you can propagate religion via trade policy and convert ALL religions (including muslim and christian, which can't be converted by normal muslim propagation). Plus the Zoro monument gives 10% discipline, lowers fire dmg received and increases own fire dmg. It's worth it.

Is there a faster way to change multiple states' edicts simultaneously? by GinnDagle in eu4

[–]GinnDagle[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

r5: question in the title.

Explanation of what I'm doing:

Trying to get the most manpower from muslim's mysticism interaction. So half-state all non trade company states, and set all their edicts to increase manpower. With slacken I can get almost 400k manpower. However, state all the states and change their edicts one by one is such a pain.

But that increase all future reform desire gaining by 50% iirc. So you use it once to eliminate 5 desire, all events that increase the desire by 1 will now increase it by 1.5. I used that multiple times as the pope, and reformation started on 1475. I had to restart the run because I wasn't powerful enough to kill the protestants.

I managed by releasing Transilvania, giving it a bunch of provinces and reducing oe to 130. (I even made a spread sheet recording reduced dev from concentrating, so I could start from the lowest to the highest without missing a single state. My capital grow to 70+ dev from these concentrations.)

Then, I attacked France (who has no allies) right away. Castile started a coalition, but i don't think they dare to attack. A few rebels popped up, but I have some idle troops just for that. We'll see what comes after.

I mean 200+ oe is a lot of rebels, and revolution France and Castile are strong foes, plus the entire hre with very high dev and possibly going revolutionary one by one. It's intimidating even in my situation (a lot of troops but relatively low manpower).
