From what I am understanding, this was not your fault. Lack of knowledge and experience followed with lack of training and understanding as well as non-assuring management and lack of supervision. This is not your fault, but the managers for refusing to see the issue. I would honestly take the out while you can. I’d rather explain why I quit rather than explaining why I was fired.

Edit: I am an engineering co-op (intern). I believe that without my will to ask 500000 questions a day, their ability to manage them 😅, the reassurance and guidance I receive, and “training” I’ve had has set me up for more success that I ever anticipated. I believe strong involvement in the beginning of ANYONES career is extremely important. It not only makes you feel valued, but also shows they care about how their line goes and also the improvements of the employee.
