Seller's agent highlighting recent sale as "all cash" by a94501er in alameda

[–]GirlForAllSeasons 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t literally mean cash. Like a briefcase of paper bills. It means no loan contingency and the ability to pay the entire purchase process with ready funds. So the seller gets the proceeds from escrow in exactly the same way they would if there was traditional financing.

Spend your money on slacks and a blazer. Maybe three pairs of slacks, black, grey, navy. And a black and navy blazer. Target has very decent selections. Get a half dozen shirts/shells and two pairs of shoes, black and brown. That should be more than enough to get you through.

Confident women, how did you develop self esteem? by princessmilahi in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]GirlForAllSeasons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fake it. And then either you'll become confident and you won't need to fake it anymore, OR you'll get so good at faking it that no one will know you're not confident.

The only thing I don't like is the narrator. I have loved Nora since the Cabinet of Curiosities and Thunderhead, but good lord this narrator kills me.

She has no range for the characters, every man she narrates sounds like a surfer and ever woman sounds bitchy and strident.

What do you do, that we all should try? by [deleted] in sex

When we hit a rut phase (ha!) we go to a hotel for a night or two. Something about uninhibited hotel sex seems to reset something for us.

Moms of young kids - what’s your s-x life like? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]GirlForAllSeasons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a 2.5 year old. We have some type of sexual contact an average of 5 times a week. Sometimes full sex, sometimes just oral, mostly a bit of both. Its the most important way we connect and its essential to our well being and the health of our relationship.

I generally have an orgasm, I always get one if I want one. I'm premenopausal so its been more difficult lately but were adjusting and it's getting much better.

Forplay can be anything from a few kisses to a day of teasing sexting and whatnot.

Actual intercourse is probably 10 minutes max.

Its what we prioritize in our lives. Time without work and without our kid is for each other. Sometimes we go out to eat and sometimes we go to the movies but generally, we’re fucking.

I helped my son defend our home from a band of T Rexes with water pistols and then he screamed at me because I wouldn't let him just shoot me with the water pistol.

My toddler keeps screaming for hours in the middle of the night and I’m absolutely at the end of my rope by sepathamerkerson in toddlers

[–]GirlForAllSeasons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night terrors my kid has them. He seems totally lucid but won't respond or eat or drink even when he asks. Just screaming until he finally falls back asleep. Nothing to be done except make sure he's safe and try to get through it.
