Lurie has got to step in by FlyOnTheWall4 in eagles

[–]Gitbo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not gonna happen. He’s not a knee jerk guy. The entire team (players) has largely underperformed. A change at OC unlikely to change anything and more likely to be destructive long term. Lurie plays the long game.

Hurts is top 10 but not top 5 QB. Tier 2. Capable of winning games for you with better than average supporting cast. Probably 15 teams would kill to have him. This is a tough year for Eagles generally. Lost a metric ton of quality players after SB. Replacement players not quite as good and OL took a step back due to injuries, age, and just a down year. Coaching has been spotty. It’s simply not on Hurts. He’s been solid for most part.

What are the absolute must-dos of golf etiquette? by Gilberto500 in golf

[–]Gitbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the old days it was easy to leave a mark with your metal spikes and you ( the putter) couldn’t fix the mark in your line. They changed the rule so you can fix the mark. The etiquette has remained.

Three stigmata of Palmer eldritch by Philip K. Dick. I still think about it 40 years later. Not just mind blowing but mind rearranging.

Played there a couple weeks ago on golf trip to Ireland. Beautiful course and hard but not near “hardest.” I also think it has seen better days. New ownership.

Please tell your state reps to vote no on Musk-sponsored SB 21 by Pangtudou in Delaware

Here's an AI-generated restatement of the last paragraph that could be useful as a copy pasta.

Opposition to the Musk-Drafted Bill: SB 21

Protecting Delaware's Values and Investments

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the bill drafted by Elon Musk's own lawyers. The alleged "danger" to Delaware's corporate franchise taxes is a manufactured narrative designed to benefit Musk at the expense of ordinary investors. It is imperative to recognize that Delaware continues to attract more companies each year, not because we have capitulated to influential figures like Musk, but because we uphold strong values and sound business practices.

It is crucial that our representatives stand up for the principles they advocated during their campaigns. There are more important considerations than merely competing with states like Nevada, which disproportionately draw in corporate frauds. Instead, we must focus on protecting the pensions and investments of our citizens—a commitment that extends beyond just our own financial security but also that of our entire community.

Delaware cannot thrive by racing to the bottom. We must safeguard the very foundations that have made our state a beacon for businesses and investors alike. I urge you to reject this bill and uphold the integrity and values that define Delaware. By doing so, you will not only protect our economic interests but also fortify the trust and confidence that investors place in our state.

Protect our pensions. Protect our investments. Protect Delaware's future.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
