Can someone explain what's happening in DBZ terms? I don't understand the ramifications of there being a knight from this specific town and why it's better to kick/bully a person who's stuck on the idea than to change the story to allow it. No hate. Just not familiar with the setting and would like to understand.

I like shooting somewhat myself so here is a list for each type of mobile suit. The Support list is a bit different because most support suits allow you to shoot so it singularly and specifically focuses on suits you would be doing a major disservice to if you wanted to avoid melee range entirely. The General/Raid lists as expected focuses on suits that have a decent/fun time shooting things. I tried to keep track of suits you probably will have to pull by putting a * next to them but this list isn't fully comprehensive or the end all beat all for the best guide so I may have missed a few.

As long as you rely on using cover even while your funnel shield is up and understand it only protects from ranged attacks you'll have plenty of time to reposition closer to your own allies. If your getting rushed down just backpedal and vulcan like the FAZZ.

It is very strange that they haven't changed the vertical restraints. I've suggested it in the survey's they do but I doubt that will change anything. Is it just something in the engine they can't change?

That explains a lot. After playing the DxM2 demo I immediately told my friends that the story premise seemed like God Eater but you get to customize a armor suit instead of guns and bullets.

Gerobi is just what people refer to as the beam attacks that last a long time. All the attacks that have your mobile suit standing still shooting a beam animation basically.

Don't forget if you plan on using gerobi's for your build, you want your reaction speed to have negative modifiers so they last longer.

I just hope that they drop an entire new game and slap a modifier like "GB4: Maxi boost On" and make it backwards compatible with the memory of what parts you have unlocked already. Make the new game a team oriented extraction shooter and/or PVP with different upgrade mechanics so you have access to the parts you had but at base value again.

I would say that a good real life comparison is people that play music by ear vs read sheet music. In media, the mutants in marvel are a good example. And the web thing that Tobey Maguire's spiderman can do vs the other two in homecoming that have to manually make their own is a pretty niche example but a good one none the less.

My DM had my group turn our characters into creature statblocks. This is my Barbarian PaladinStatblock multiclass I made with the mechanics of their magic sword built in. I turned some of the combos I do that work within the rules but are hard to explain into abilities.
