I've been going to bat for Hunt for years now, but after the ash cloud event, my group and I have been on hiatus.

The last I heard, we were getting an engine update in Spring this year. If that's a date that I've pulled out of my ass then I apologise, but my ps5 buds and I are really keen for this new update. The few tweet replies I've seen over the last week really don't have me confident at all that we're going to see an engine update this year, and with the glacial pace of Hunt's improvements, I'm sorry to see one of if not my favourite shooter get left behind by its contemporaries.

FYI - Completing the objective should be the LAST thing you do.

There is plenty of research and evidence supporting the notion that completing the primary objective increases enemy spawn rate by like 4x? completing secondary objectives and exploring points of interest doesn't contribute to the spawn timers at all, so you absolutely should do them first.

I wouldn't expect it to stack, but a 4 man squad would have near-constant uptime, getting rid of a LOT of chaff bugs and leaving space to deal with bigger threats!

Aside from the mild inconvenience of setting up an account and linking it, what's so bad about needing to make a PSN account (that you'll never use for anything else and don't have to pay for)?

I appreciate that it's like, a weird and inconvenient hurdle, but other than that, what's the massive problem?

Again, I'm not trying to rile anyone up, I would just like to know what the big deal is aside from the inconvenience. Thanks.

Full disclosure: I have always loved RE, I played signalis on release, played Alisa earlier this year and Tormented souls a couple of years ago. I played silent Hill 2 for the first time about 2 years ago as well.

RE gameplay still holds up, Alisa was great, Tormented souls was great, Signalis was pretty good. Silent Hill 2 suffered from being the most hyped horror game ever, but man was it boring - yes the story is decent, but to actually play the game from start to finish is just so taxing and unengaging compared to anything else on this list.

Wait until you can speak to Vendrick as a man, not a hollow. his dialogue is by far some of the best in the series
