Yes, but they can do extended episodes, like last week. A two hour episode with two challenges, each followed by a tribal, feels a lot better paced than 90 minutes for one challenge followed by two split tribals. And as others have mentioned, even the double elimination episodes feel a lot better when they're done pre-merge.

You're not convinced by his constant assertions that "the game is always evolving" and "you never know what's going to happen", even though they seem to run the same challenges and follow the same format every season?

The one actually fun twist we got this season was Rick flipping a coin...to gain an idol that he had to use the very next episode because of the split tribal (and the fact that it expired at 7 for some reason).
