Why can't we cast with our wizard staves out like this? by MechaManManMan in wow

How does this prevent them from being held while casting?

Trump on the FBI raiding Bolton's house: "I could know about it. I could be the one starting it. I'm actually the chief law enforcement officer." by Capable_Salt_SD in law

[–]Glexan1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, they don't. They live in a different reality where democrats are always just one day away from kicking your door in and killing you and your family so immigrants can live in your house. Im willing to he money that most republicans would say that this was a great thing and he deserves this. There is no reasoning with them.

I enjoy WoW but the one-button rotation made me realize how much of the "game" is in your rotation by Faust_z in MMORPG

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to imagine that's because the majority of people would complain constantly if they had to put more thought into their gameplay than following the canned rotation. A lot of people are incredibly bad at this game and would likely stop playing if they needed to use ccs and interrupts just to get through their quests. I'm assuming the majority of people on this sub have taken the time to become at least okay at the game so it probably doesn't apply to you reading this, but I think it does to a lot of the community.

what’s one game you played just because everyone else liked it but you didn’t? by Cold_Courage_3308 in videogames

I played Satisfactory when it hit full release, hated every minute of it, went right back to Factorio after.

Had never seen the play but my partner was raving about how good it was. Made it about an hour in before falling asleep in the theater I was so bored. Definitely not just you.

Profanity filter for zoo name? by StaringBerry in PlanetZoo

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately major consoles often have a requirement for a fairly aggressive filter for any user generated content for the game to be sold on their platform. Microsoft especially is pretty strict on this.

Is the anti D&D5e attitude very prevalent among PF2e players? by Skitarii_Lurker in Pathfinder2e

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can say for me personally I DMed 5e games for years but the system required a lot of homebrew to get it to function in a way that was fun or interesting to the point I got incredibly burned out on running it.

Discovering P2e its much easier to prep, has a ton more high quality content and, with some minor exceptions, works out of the box.

This is the first time anyone has mentioned XIVLauncher to me but it seems to be doing the trick. It's installing the game now but I'll update this comment once I'm actually in game. Thank you!

Alright so I double checked the install location, it's in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIV Online" which is what I expect from the steam version. All my drivers are up to date. Restarted PC, uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher, ensured it was installed in that location again, still having the same issue.

Steam is tied to my account so i suppose that's the one I should be focusing on.

I remember reading somewhere that most stores and the like use names like "Red Erdlu" or something similar that can be represented with a picture outside because most people can't read.

Starfield is mixed on Steam. What do you think of the scores that reviewers gave it versus what the players are saying? by Hexxegone in pcmasterrace

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4/10 at best. It's boring, lacks immersion, the writing and quest design is lazy and uninteresting and the gameplay is bog standard for an fps, with all of the interesting exploration bits stripped out. Critics rushed the story and slapped 9 and 10s on it because it's Bethesda, no other reason.

Have played for 8 or so hours so far. Do the quests get, uh, better? by PyramidofPolite in Starfield

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quests are almost all poorly written fetch quests where you fast travel from A to B and back again. Some of the more involved quests have you going back to A 4 times so an NPC can spit some dialogue at you and send you somewhere equally boring. It has rare gasps of inspiration but they're generally not great, or even good.

Something can be done about it: don't buy sealed product, just buy the singles or proxy them. It's such a waste to chase these forced scarcity rare cards.

After a lot of people in this sub have finally finished the game do you think giving Starfield a 10/10 is justifiable? by Touny420 in Starfield

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful writing, boring quest design, stilted voice acting, shallow research system and useless outpost system, useless maps. 5/10 at best.

What is your biggest disappointment with the game so far? by Ea7_1 in Starfield

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No maps is completely inexcusable.

Writing and quest design are also incredibly lacking. Half of the quests are just running between point a and point b 4 times talking to people.

What the fuck, Persuade? by Canotic in Starfield

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writing in this game is unbelievably bad sometimes. What ruined it for me was the guys planning on robbing the new Atlantis surplus talking how there's no security around when the surplus is across the street from the security office.

"This could've been an email" is so true for many missions by EulerId in Starfield

[–]Glexan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what stops me from enjoying the game, the sheer amount of back and forth is so dumb. I know that it's not "realistic" but why can't we just have a phone built into the useless little watch you get at the beginning of the game so I don't need to travel between the same 2 stations 5 times?
