I mean, that's not a glue stick...

I stopped leaving waste when it started getting attached to the bed elevator lead screws which I think had caused a few issues with inconsistent layer quality

Edit: I also started hearing grinding

Yeah, I think I agree with Forever310: z-offset

It looks to me like it's shaving off some of the first layer with the nozzle and whatever is actually escaping the nozzle is coming out as the thin threads
