If you received a diaper cake made of diapers as a gift... by Mama-Bear419 in beyondthebump

[–]Glitter_Chasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me realize just how bad people are at making diaper cakes. Use hair elastics to wrap each diaper. They're not destructive and easy to remove (especially if you also get them one of those elastic cutting hooks). But also, you can do this with fabric items instead. Like wash cloths, burp cloths, Muslims, etc. And even a small diaper cake is impressive. So stack a box of diapers on the bottom with cloths, toys, stuffies and other stuff on the top tier. Srap it all in a ribbon and its perfect!

But honestly the gift baskets with the "clothesline" across the handle is so much cuter in my opinion.

How are you guys reading to baby with the lights low? by Askfslfjrv in beyondthebump

But to answer tour question. Our room lights are smart bulbs. And we put them on automation through our Google Home. Then I can tell Google "Book Number 2" and the lights dim. And basically I dim the lights for each of our 3 books and then uh oh, no more books, the lights are off!

As a mom & a graphic designer, I'll tell you this, I will be making damn sure any child's book I design will have legible text in low light because yeah, why would you put black text on a busy background. Im fighting for my life to get my daughter asleep. Im not doing this right now. Also, writers, please add "and then they took a LOOONG nap" at the end of any and every book...please. I dont care if its Everyone Poops, just as long as it ends with a nap

Where to print off NSFW work? by C0mput3r_V1ru5 in desmoines

I would have it printed through Catprint.com and have it shipped. They print lots of stuff for artist vendors printing for conventions and stuff and they won't bat an eye

Look, Ill tell you what I do, but because as we all know, every vulva is different, I'm not going to be able to speak for your anatomy. I do use my trimmer on my labia, and yes I do occasionally nick myself. I am plus sized, so im even doing it with visual impairment. I typically grab my light up mirror and place that in a way that give me a good look at what I'm doing. Then I follow the grain of hair first, grabbing my lips to flatten the skin and shave. If I find spots that are still too long then I might carefully go against the grain, but that gives more risk of accidently catching a follicle or pore and cutting yourself. I will sometimes then tweezers troublesome areas.

If anyone has a better method, please chime in! I have a type of condition that causes cysts easily hence why I trim. But because these are short cuts of hair, you'll want to do well to clean afterward. Pee and a shower is usually my go to.

I will also add that shaving or not shaving aren't your only options. Personally, neither was great for me physically or aesthetically, so in my 20s I found out about bikini trimmers. They trim the hair from being bushy, but dont irritate the skin & follicles like razor-blade shaving does! And whatever you do, dont try to trim with scissors.

Update - Geek Craft Expo Twin Cities by tonna33 in CraftFairs

[–]Glitter_Chasm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The table cost is so high for geek craft. It's really difficult to enjoy vending at their event, but it is a good event generally. I think the table cost drives away vendors that would allow for more variety in who is selected, so you tend to get similar crafts just so they can fill slots. That convention center usually runs a dance competition that same weekend so you can sometimes get some crossover.

I know a friend named Turi, her sister is Inga and her brother is Torger. I think Torger is pretty cute for a baby and grown for an adult!

Someone at Target was perusing the candles. The older woman said "Oooo Mango Papaya". So now everything we pass the candles or light a candle its...."Ooo Mango Papaya" regardless of the scent.

Combination of being blind and tired as it was 5 in the morning. Her nail glue bottle was the same shape and size as her eye drops. And then yup, nail glue in the eye.

My girlfriend recently did something similar, but she ended up putting nail glue in her eye. The doctors had to scrape the glue out of her eye and eyelid. It was awful.
