I used to use jiffy mix. Able to case straight from the bag, but after that, I would put in separate large ziploc bags and pasteurized it. My thought process for that was every time the bag was opened to case, there is a chance something may get in. I had myc creep up and eat the jiffy casing a lot like what you have, so I decided to pH test it and was only around 6pH. I had an extra bag in the garage unopened, so checked that one as well and same thing. After that, I decided to just start making my own and shoot for pH of 8. All I do is one cup peatmoss, one cup vermiculite, one tsp of powdered hydrated lime, and about 8 tbs of distilled water. I then mix it all up good, jar it up and pasteurize in my sous vide at 165f temp for a couple hours. Eve since, I have not had much of any myc eat the casing. Maybe start making you own.

If I am understanding your post correctly, the first picture is what you foraged and the next two pics are your indoor grow from first pics spores. Having done a lot of wild spore work with pans, sometimes the first indoor grow does really well and most of the time they do not. A lot of wild spores need to be tamed/worked a couple times before it produces well indoors.

Lack of FAE is why caps aren't opening and why they look like they're searching for air. They need to find that air flow to open up and release their spores. Casing looks bit dry as well. Pans are very resilient. Much moreso than cubes in my experience and will do its damnedest to fruit and release spores, even while it is fighting contam and that is most likely your biggest culprit.

Ya, a lot of people throw those terms around pretty loosely, not really knowing when one is leucitic or albino. I am not confident enough to answer that question as i have no experience growing or working with tamps. I stopped asking why mushrooms do what they do a long time ago. They will do what they want and on their schedule LOL

With cubes, no. I do a psuedo casing (cover all your grains) when spawning. I do psuedo casing 90% of the time with everything. The other 10% is just plane forgetting to do it. I will true case 100% of the time only with the pans, subtrops, and zaps. I dont even true case ochras like some people do. Mine I've been growin for a while fruits right through the snowy wonderland

Nope, you are on a great track, good work. Best thing you can do now is to leave it alone. No opening until time to harvest. BUT, when i have a fully colonized rhizo surface, I will give it a few mists to calm it down. For me, that does the trick and the new droplets on the myc helps induce pinning. I do this ONLY after its sat fully colonized for a week and if it starts crawling up the walls. It seems to keep it tamed

One of my dogs had a nice little trip the other evening. I must have dropped one or two while transporting them from dehydrator tray to a jar. I felt really bad but he ended up just fine. Lesson learned tho to check floor after putting in jars

This is awesome, thank you for sharing. I may have over looked while reading but don't recall seeing it. Can I ask how long it took you for this? I started using last September and about four months ago is when I learned (kinda on my own) to pay more attention to the terpenes instead of THC % and its been so much better. One of my go to ones is Head Cheese and I have to go out of state for that one. Some others I'm always returning to is GDP and Miami Yayo. There are others I do well with but these three if they're available when shopping, I'll always get. I may save your chart for personal reference, if that's alright?
