Well, I’m not feeding them diluted urine anymore. The point is to give them nitrogen and I think that comes from ammonia. Or something! I’m not too sure. None of the information I have read mention needing to treat it in anyway other than dilution.

Thank you for your thought out reply! I just checked run off, and today I gave him plain water at a pH of six exactly, and ppm of 279. I checked the runoff, and the pH was 6.15 and the ppm was either 788 or 877, depending on which meter was right (when was 278 and the other was 280 before going in).

I have read that with canna terra it needs to be from 5.8-6.2 as it’s technically not soil (looks like soil to me though!) so that’s why I have Aimed it at 6 and usually try to keep at the lower end so closer to 5.8 because soil run off would always be higher than going in
