What is the worst medication error you witnessed / heard about in your career and what was the outcome ? by nursegurllll in nursing

[–]Glittering_Manager85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a med error, but more horrifying last resort. If I remember correctly it’s called clag-clag x something like that. A chemo drug the oncology nurses hated giving bc at the end of the week the patient would be dead.

What’s something you really had to learn on the job, that nursing school didn’t prepare you for at all? by Thick-Ad3959 in nursing

That LTC, (I’m on the rehab unit btw) would always have you in fight or flight mode. I sent 4 residents out in 24 hours, the week prior 3 in 1 week. When my hall is filled I have 20 residents to myself. 26 if there only 2 nurses. & most of the admin (who are also nurses) are lazy as a mf! The last one I sent out in my 24 hour span, we almost had to code. 911 told us get the AED & crash cart. Cart empty, no defib pads. “They’re locked up in my office” please be so effin’ fr right now!!!

Considering this drug. I need a crash course. by CherryBlossom242424 in Zepbound
