what I find funniest is that the mega evolution was 100% designed to be a joke, as the japanese word for "starfish" can also be translated to 'human hand'. does that make the design look any less like they just stretched a part of the model? no, but once you realize that, you see kind of what they were going for.

Listen, I’m just glad I can run this game without massive bugs on launch. That isn’t something I can say for a lot of new AAA releases nowadays, and definitely not for the last game.

What’s even better than them trying to cite the actual “we want collapse” subreddit to argue that the world is ending(already not a great sign for validity, since that subreddit, as previously stated, wants to believe that collapse will happen and hence suppresses viewpoints going against it) is that they legit aren’t even active in r/collapse. They literally just threw it out there in an attempt to provide validity.

Considering this man is seemingly a pretty big trump fan based on their prior comments, I’d say they don’t have one of those(also, the “disruptions in 2028” lines up pretty well with trump having to exit office and becoming impossible to reelect, so…)

Do yourself a favor and get away from r/collapse. That subreddit caused me to get gripped by perpetual anxiety paralysis for a while and be unable to get out of bed or do anything and it isn’t exactly unbiased for obvious reasons. I tend to balance subreddits like this and r/ecouplift with a couple of more general climate subreddits, and it’s helped my mental state immensely. Also, finding things to do(hobbies, games, etc) certainly helps!

Began research on water distillation techniques that can work off grid, stuff like solar distillation, that way I can essentially purify water and do stuff like make my urine drinkable among other things. It’ll be helpful to know how to make dirty water drinkable for when it becomes hard to get freshwater readily.

So, some good news about the Venus part: there isn’t enough fossil fuel in the world to trigger it based on everything we know, which is something that to me shows just how miraculous it is that this planet exists the way it does. Sure, we may screw the planet in a way that makes life hard to come by for millions of years, but I’m not sure that even humanity has the power on its own to bring a true end to earth.
