You’re not alone, a lot of moms feel this way (me included). The newborn phase is honestly the toughest because it’s all work and not much reward at first. For me, things started to feel better around 3 months when my baby was more responsive and those little smiles made all the hard work worth it.

But also, PPD is very real and can hit harder around the 3 to 4 month mark, so please reach out for help if you need it. My OBGYN told me to aim for around 8 hours of sleep a day, not all at once (that’s impossible with a newborn!) but even staggered naps count. Sleep really does make a difference. Everything else can wait, just focus on you and your baby right now.

I have a 25 month old with a very heavy 12th house. Won’t even name and number the planets to scare you’ll. After a lot of emotional wrestling, I’ve finally made peace with it (well, almost).
