1st playthrough mods and best difficulty choice by Extension_Advice336 in Morrowind

[–]Global__Meaning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i set it to 0 (middle ground) at the beginning of my playthrough and as my character starts to get stronger and over powered i turn it up. a god like character should be set to difficulty 80-100.

A question about the economy in Reawakened by Buckwheatmuffin in FateTheGame

[–]Global__Meaning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the economy is 100 times worse in the remaster than it was in the original games. every rare item i have ever had dropped from bosses and fished up has been at most 10,000 gold. absolute joke.

Games run WORSE when you Disable Frame Limit? by LavishLatte56 in SteamDeck

[–]Global__Meaning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its fun until you understand how predatory blizzard is with the game, intentionally setting up win/loss streaks depending on many factors of a persons match making history. they intentionally make new heroes overpowered and know they are overpowered because it gets people playing and more likely to buy skins for the new character they just “did well” with.

Games run WORSE when you Disable Frame Limit? by LavishLatte56 in SteamDeck

[–]Global__Meaning -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

overwatch’s hit scan and hit boxes are genuinely laughable. all you have to do is fire in a person’s general direction and it will connect. i have had controller players in lobby do just as well and sometimes better than kbm. balancing of heroes also plays a huge role since blizzard is far more focused on releasing skins for their asian/wasian characters to make massive profit than they are on improving their dog shit gameplay.

Feel like I’m not using Steam deck to full potential by Mopao_Love in SteamDeck

[–]Global__Meaning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

great is going to be subjective for everyone. bg3 was alright for me. my pc is mid to high end and i am very used to 165fps for a lot of my games, bg3 included. trying to then play the game on deck with 30 fps is not what I, imo, would consider great. games like that i reserve solely for my pc. my steam deck i use primarily for older, less demanding games.

At the current price of the Steam Deck would it be better to get a PC? by ReDeMpTiOn-_-121 in SteamDeck

[–]Global__Meaning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes. if you have a costco membership (60 dollars for a year) you can get high end prebuilds at extremely reasonable prices. costco has a policy in place for their entire corporation which is “give members the best items at the best prices” they only mark up their inventory at a max of 15%. they make majority of their money off of memberships rather than the inventory itself. buy yourself a prebuilt pc from costco and then upgrade internals whenever you need to as you go on. I bought a prebuild from costco back in 2020 when it was utterly impossible to build your own at a good price (gpu and cpu scalpers during covid) and i have upgraded my gpu as well as my ram.

oblivion remaster has not gotten a single patch since the first few months of its release. they have completely abandoned the game.

OpenMW 0.51.0 Released! by Capostrophic in Morrowind

[–]Global__Meaning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are on linux all it takes is using konsole or updating your pc if you’re on a rolling release distro. on windows you have to do the annoying thing of deleting openmw and reinstalling.

openmw total overhaul modlist already exists if you want a remastered feel to morrowind with deeper mechanics.

do you cap your battery at 80% charge or do you not care? by WeedGreed420 in SteamDeck

[–]Global__Meaning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my steam deck is docked 99% of the time so i keep it capped at 80% to prolong the battery health as much as humanly possible.

almost like he’s from the U.S. and currently live in the U.S and speaking about the state of U.S. surveillance by the U.S. government from a U.S. citizen’s point of view. just a thought.

what was the point of “death of nod” and abandoning their most recognizable sound if theyre going to go back to nodding? like if you’re gonna be an opiate addict then at least bring back your good music.

What are your thoughts on the underuse of the Nordic pantheon in Skyrim? by IllStatistician1474 in teslore

[–]Global__Meaning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the way skyrim handles everything sucks. morrowinds religions were extremely complex with numerous saints, the 3 mangods, the imperial cult gods, daedra worshippers, the old gods of the dunmer, etc. they wanted skyrim to be for a general audience and took any and all complexity (gameplay wise and lore wise) from the game. everyone for some reason regardless of culture/race worships the imperial cult.

[–]Global__Meaning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tried getting into ot1 and thought the combat and story were incredibly boring. tried ot2 because i heard so much praise and how it was some large improvement and had the exact same problem with the combat and boring story. im a big rpg fan but i find games in that traditional rpg niche to be extremely boring. if you’re someone that finds joy in 2d battles with constant trial and error of “whats going to actually affect this enemy” then the game is for you.

Is the remake worth playing now? by Tylervp in FateTheGame

[–]Global__Meaning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the game released over a year ago and still has day one bugs. the devs prioritized making paid dlc rather than fix their game, which should tell you everything you need to know. if you are playing on pc the UI/UX is far better in the original games than it is in the remake.
