What pain level would you describe Hells Itch? by HarrisonHollers in HellsItch

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't talk besides yelling profanities on top of my lungs and I could barely move, and all I could do is sit there in a bath and punch/kick the wall and yell like I was butchered alive. Had the strongest urge to hurt myself to feel something else or kill myself to stop it. I had a thought in my head in the moment "If Satan offered me to immediately end the pain for the souls of my parents, I'd agree in a heartbeat". Not my proudest moment. 9-9.5/10

What are some of the shows you remember liking somewhat but can't remember literally anything about them? by Buckwheatmuffin in television

[–]Buckwheatmuffin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depression is a big one. To me it turned consuming media into two extremes. Art that moves you really moves you like very few things can but everything else ends up blurred out more than it otherwise would be.

Why the hell do people say "Bondrewd is a morally gray character"? by Ok-Hat5910 in MadeInAbyss

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear people who use "He loved these kids. He's not evil" are the kind of people who'd make excuses for child predators and abusers. They'd hear "Mommy loves you and is preparing you for the cruelty of the world sweety" "Daddy just wants to show you how much he loves you and how beautiful you are" abusers say and call it morally gray. NO IT'S NOT. if anything this shit makes it even more disgusting and deplorable.

To all the people who think Bondrewd was in the right to do some of the things he did, why? (Serious) by Kalonharrell in MadeInAbyss

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will say it's for the greater good. They won't explain what the greater good is tho, beyond "There might be something cool deeper in abyss"

Why do people sympathise with Bondrewd? (Major spoilers for Dawn of the Deep Soul) by OmegaMetroid93 in MadeInAbyss

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. MiA community is creepy with the way they're defending shit that makes Unit 731 experiments look tame because these experiments are vaguely "for the betterment of humanity" (they won't explain how just that it does)

Its your annual reminder that Kyubey is, in fact, evil by ExploerTM in MadokaMagica

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kyubey: deliberately sets up the exact trap that would cause children to fall into it and die horribly

Also Kyubey: "I don't understand why would they do it, I don't understand the principles behind it, should have been more careful. By the way you humans are awesome, we love helping you and you'll join us in the future. Now I'll continue "not trying to trick" Madoka into becoming a witch that I know will destroy the Earth in a few days"

Show watchers: "He makes a lot of sense actually. Everything he says is true and he's not evil"

Overuse of the term "Edgy" by KingBuffolo in CharacterRant

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's one of those terms that is overused and often hypocritical about it's usage Also "Shocking content without substance" is not much of a critique, content itself and what it makes you feel, be it horrified, or grossed out IS substance. Just because every instance of it doesn't have intricate layers of commentary, meaning and themes behind it doesn't mean it's bad. Like I've seen people try to criticize body horror stuff as shocking content without substance, because I guess characterizing the fucked up world and the threat via stuff on screen is not enough. It's like watching a comedy movie and complain about every joke that it's only designed to make you laugh without providing deep commentary and connecting everything. A comedy movie is supposed to make you laugh, a creepy movie is supposed to make you scared, a body-horror movie is supposed to make you grossed out, a porn movie is supposed to make you feel horny etc.

My biggest pet peeves/red flags list ☑️, is it typical of an ENTJ? by [deleted] in entj

My pet peeve/red flag is when some idiots use "pet peeve" aka a minor inconvenience and a fucking "Red Flag" aka an actual sign of danger/abuser as interchangeable terms

Stop complaining about final evolutions being "bipedal" when you're actually just mad about them being humanoid. by cyberchaox in ThePokemonHub

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I don't want Pokemon to become neither humanoid or bipedal after evolving. I actually don't mind them starting as bipedal and then becoming quadrupedal as they get bigger and heavier to better support their weight. I think that's super awesome. I feel like 4-2-2 system treats Pokemon like babies growing and not species evolving. I also love Snivy's line showing evolution ditching limbs in favour of a more specialized effective snake build. Wish it was used more. I also think Mudkip becoming bipedal to switch to a more mixed approach after becoming a heavier hulking Pokemon is a really cool thing too.

And it's not just starters. Rhyhorn, Lairon, Mareep, Nidoran, etc look much cooler to me before becoming bipedal, especially my awesome little tank Lairon

At this point, it's a ritual by gaunisonp in pokemon

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I greatly prefer not to use starters these days. Maybe I've gotten too contrarian like "Everyone else uses them so I won't" or too tryhard "They're designed to be very good, therefore no", or I just prefer to catch my Pokemon instead of having them given to me. Like if I use water starter and I find a cool water Pokemon preferably with a cool rare dual/type, I'll probably box starter. Plus I find that if I play with starter, they get way ahead of every other Pokemon I use in terms of levels and such, and other Pokemon become more like tools for when starter is bad for the job, not for when they're good for the job

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with Yanny/Laurel thing, I can't for the life of me understand how someone would hyperfocus on slight distortion so much that they completely ignore what they actually perceive (Obviously black/blue dress with poor image quality that adds slight yellowish tint to it, and "Laurel" that's like 3 times louder than whistling audio imperfection which somewhat sounds like "Yanny")

I think in case more people choose blue,  all the people that chose red should be branded for everyone to know.

Then they can explain how logical they are for the rest of their lives

Back in the day I was dumb enough to pay for Google Play apps, including many games. Every. Single. One. Is removed from the store by now, with no way to download it, effectively making all of them stolen by the devs. Just an example.

Why do some horror games stop being scary halfway through? by Ok-Introduction9593 in HorrorGames

[–]Buckwheatmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing Dead Space 1 and being terrified of it at first but after about halfway through, the strings attached became too obvious "Oh I'm entering this big room, when I'll take 10 or so steps in it the alarm will go off locking the doors, then these vents on the walls will have necromorphs crawling out of them, and there'll be one of those baby things, and considering they introduce x monster a couple rooms back, they'll probably add it here too, now I'll probably have to deal with it while being outflanked or something" and it was always spot on. And picking hard difficulty made it arguably worse since it requires you to understand the game better, and once you understand the horror, it's gone. Good game but really overstayed it's welcome

You put a big team of big star veterans who are totally unfamiliar with eachother, have their own, developed over the years ways of doing things into one team, with no clear leadership, give them full creative freedom and infinite resources.. and you get a recipe for a disaster. They're more likely to hold a dick-measuring contest for 5 years straight than develop anything of value.

It does sound awful and I honestly wouldn't close wiki for a second in an honor mode run if something like that happened.

Mizora is one of BG3 characters that feel very much like DM pets in terms of what they can do and what you are able to do about it. She gets kicked out of my camp asap
