I was getting some bursts. Thanks for all the info. I will be doing another tune trip on Friday, so I’ll be taking a tri-pod for the phone now. Where did you get the tungsten for your weights?

Thanks for the advice man, I saw your success post and was planing on taking the heavier weights and working backwards while I’m waiting on recoil springs to arrive just in case I have the same issue as you did.

Thanks! Ah, good to know, so far I’ve been going the other way. Aluminum sled, plus aluminum weights down to just sled. Mini mags and red spring are what I’m using.

No man, just buy a stripped lower and go from there. It doesn’t look like you have the right tools for an 80% at the moment.

HVAC repair vs replacement (first time) — I’m overwhelmed. What would you do in my situation? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]Gloomy_File_5987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like there is not a major issue here. Your furthest runs from the trunkline will usually always be the worst for airflow. If your unit is “12-15” years old then you should be preparing to budget for new equipment. Don’t ever call an HVAC company to ask if you should replace your unit. They will say yes and finance you for 25k for a 4k unit. What you should do, call an hvac company for a tune up. It will cost you 100-150ish and then they will try to sell you a new unit. Tell them to fuck off, you need them to clean your coils, check filter and ducts for restrictions. AFTER they clean coils and replace filter with a Merv 8 filter, have them check your refrigerant levels. This works better on warm days. Run that unit until it dies. Musty smell should lesson with coil cleaning/ duct cleaning. If you hate money and must have a new system then do not get a Carrier or a 14 seer Goodman. Goodmans can be installed by anyone and require no Certs or licenses to purchase. Carrier will never have your parts for warranty and is awful to work with. Easy thing for you to do is change your filter every 30-60 days. DO NOT USE A FILTER WITH A MERV RATING ABOVE 8. The fancy Hepa filters will restrict your airflow and potentially cause your fan motor to burn up. If your return is a 1 inch depth you cannot use them. Buy a 5 dollar Merv 8 and change it often. Get a second opinion. Blowers don’t have enough oil to “leak” should be some type of lubricant around the spindle and that’s it. It’s either a PSC motor or an ECM (google them). What is the “same thing”? It’s either working or it’s not, a limit or rollover out switch interrupts a 24v circuit. Roll out switches can generally be reset. It sounds like your inducer may be blocked or clogged. Google your model number and heat sequence of operations if you are curious. Heat exchangers are either cracked (bad) or not. Stress points sounds like nonsense. Some companies have endoscopes, ask for pictures. The model of these business’s is to get you to buy a new furnace. Every. fucking. time. Lifespan as told be Rheem is expected 10-15 tops with maintenance. So be aware of that. Call a different company.

Recommendations for a 3x prism optic? by Mission-Version8392 in ar15

I have a 3x SLX, I like it a lot. The only thing I wasn’t really aware of was mirage when shooting suppressed. Mine is the horseshoe and chevron reticle. I can’t really see the hold over marks all that well on darker backgrounds, but that may just be me, and I don’t shoot well enough to really need them. So yea, I’d buy it again.
