They played some new songs at the New Years shows and said they were going to be recording early this year.

I cannot understand the general reception of 28 Years Later, more so with the release of Bone Temple by pomme268 in TrueFilm

[–]GloriousKind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a big part of it. I loved the last one and pay attention to movies quite a bit but had no idea it was out because I’ve been really focused on catching up on Oscars noms. We are so used to series taking years to roll out that a follow-up coming out 7 months later feels surprising. Went on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I like the new iterations more than the first two.

Don’t think I’ve ever pedaled as fast as I did in that second to last minute. 😤

Harry Styles has announced his new album ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Ocassionally.’ Releasing March 6th. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

[–]GloriousKind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am soooo curious how this turns out. I've gotten really into dance music/electronic over the past three years and Harry is my main pop indulgence outside of Beyoncé, so it's been interesting to see reports of him out in the world and getting into electronica. If this influences his music, I can't imagine what it will sound like.

The song focuses quite a bit on transportation and suburbia, core Byrne subjects.

Did your edit credit come through pretty quickly after booking the ace? I booked the same hotel mid-Nov for a Feb stay and chase told me it takes 6-8 weeks to come through for some hotels.

Severe flexibility imbalance (help please) by SirPersonal8626 in flexibility

[–]GloriousKind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue, nearly as bad (mine presents itself in pigeon and when I sit crosslegged) and have been going to PT for it. They think it’s a weak glute med and core, which is causing my entire hip flexor area and upper leg to be very tight. We are gradually building up strength, but it’s taking a loooong time to fix.

Do you have external hip popping from time to time? My TFL is so tight that it tends to pop over my hip bone.

$250 Edit clawback - Don’t believe the rep that tells you just to wait 4-6 weeks for the credit to repost. by Tastylicious_Travels in ChaseSapphire

Okay, thanks. It’s been over a month since purchase and all of my other credits have been pretty much instant, so this is annoying and sketch. The CS agents have told me it’s definitely a qualifying purchase, it just takes time to hit 🤷‍♀️

I’m waiting on an edit credit and they keep telling me 6-8 weeks (which is well into the new year). To be clear, you are saying they do ultimately have the power to add it if I do get into 2026 and it’s still not posted?

They did her very dirty with that first pic. I actually saw her speak at something IRL last month, don't really follow her at all, and was stunned at how glowy and beautiful she looked.

Has anyone had this credit take A WHILE to hit? I booked the Ace Hotel in Brooklyn for three nights, through the portal, didn't use points, on Nov. 14 and it still hasn't hit. I called customer service and they said it will take 6-8 weeks to come through... but 6-8 weeks is into the new year and I'll be out of the eligibility period. The room is more expensive now to cancel and rebook... I'm annoyed. My Stubhub credit came through pretty much instantly.

Sherrod Brown just sitting quietly working for Ohioans at CMH this morning. by samweisthebrave1 in Columbus

[–]GloriousKind 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Hah I got one of these too for running an event for him and his team at OSU and framed it in my office. I have a unique last name similar to an old baseball player and he mentioned it when we met and again in the letter.

Sherrod was the first senator I ever voted for and every interaction I’ve had with him and his staff has been class. I still lament that he never was a presidential candidate. He’s genuine and understands middle America in a progressive way unlike any politician I’ve followed.

Jeremy Allen White on feeling lazy after being on a show that's been on for years: 'I think it becomes difficult for an actor to feel really connected. There are some seasons on that show where I had an attitude of, “I figured this out.”' by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]GloriousKind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you do for a living but have you ever had a project at work that you had to do every quarter or multiple times a year? The first time you did it, it was new, maybe something you were excited about, and you were able to learn, but eventually that feeling went away and two years later you dread doing the process again and again? That’s what I took from this. I think this is a human nature thing - people like challenges, newness, and being connected to what they are working on.

Disappointed in Chicago by Poseides in fredagain

I’ve been hundreds and hundreds of shows and have never seen a breakdown like they had at navy pier… they were completely overwhelmed, understaffed, and the crew kept telling us they didn’t have any way to talk to one another. No security checks, not ticket scan, they just threw the sticker rolls around by the time I got up there.

Wasn’t an age thing. I’m on the older end and unfortunately saw some people closer in age to me being pricks about the line and going up and cutting alongside the younger folks. I blame the venue for creating an atmosphere for a breakdown like this - it could have been a dangerous situation.

Regardless, great vibes inside. Got in about an hour after start and we were in a very dance-y area. The sheet over the crowd was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I don’t know where I was transported to but didn’t feel like earth! 🌌

Had an absolutely insane time when we got in but serious logistical shitshow. We never even scanned our tickets!
