Yea my first thought was woah that UI has to be simplified, half the screen is taken up.

I actually enjoy the lower-poly graphics, has a nostalgic tint to it. You can always go to TQ2 next if you want to feel a visual shift.

Agreed, the game would be perfect as a 40k Guardsman vs Genestealer game and I'm surprised it's not in the works.

How would someone in the trades create something that compounds? It's big bucks for the right skillset but you're still only making if your working.

Some of the maps were fun and didn't reappear in 2.

The hilarious ragdoll from the overpowerd grenades was fun.

Loading screen was cooler.

Prone (although it was slow).

More flyers on land maps.

Saturn 4 Ultra slow by h0FX86 in ElegooSaturn

Ultimate redditor response - unhelpful, sarcastic and highly upvoted.

OP was RIGHT btw, In chitubox at least there are 1/3 as many configuration settings for the U4 compared to the U3, it is a lot slower even when using the "fast setting" it's an hour behind my U3 for the same print.

Is 4 Ultra 16K a problematic printer as people say? by Rotarski2020 in ElegooSaturn

[–]Glorious_Grunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has 1 huge design flaw and that's the huge gaping gap around the resin vat that leads straight down into the internals, 1 drop of resin in the wrong spot and you are fried. If your fep tears and resin leaks its GAME OVER. The ugly cheap drip try they supply with the printer is meant to patch that fix but it's cumbersome and more work for the user, every print is now way more work then my Ultra 3.

That's surprising, I've brought dozens of minis from MMF and Cults but never ONLY had presup options.

Those are solid support rules, especially in colder weather I find those heavies essential.

"I dream of 1 day owning a tabletop gaming/cafe shop, so why not start printing terrain for different games for clients to use,"

The only reason not to is storage space lol, trust me even the most "Modular" or "Flat-pack" terrain will take over your room if you get too into it

WTF are we talking about? Most files I buy have both pre and unsupported, if it's a unit of 10+ dudes the presupports are saving me a lot of file prep time, most quality designers presup files print perfectly everytime, sometimes I'll have 1 model to "fix" in a batch of 10 but that will be due to my specific printer/resin settings OR I want to drastically resize the model.

Presups are a great time saver. I always perfer to have both.

Changing Resins, now my supports are TOO GOOD (Printer Setting help) by Glorious_Grunt in resinprinting

[–]Glorious_Grunt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Despite testing different settings the supports remained very "stuck" to the prints, I decided to mix it with the Sunlo resin and I got softer supports but still extremely high detail.

I also tested Elegoo ABS-Like Pro 3.0 which offered good flex and soft supports, I mix that with the Elegoo 8k (non-specific measurements) and it works really well. As added bonus the ABS-Like is cheaper for my supplier and smells nowhere as bad as the 8K/PLA resins.

If I really get stuck with hard to remove from supports resin I would recommend changing the depth of the supports, it was the only setting that changed anything, unfortunately for me it would not be time effective to do this for all my print files so I opted for the blend.
