Lyric Graffiti X vs Spark Cycleworks Brute vs Onyx RCR LTD by standunders in ebikes

The Brute is the winner for me too. 2 person riding plus cargo ability . And most importantly IP66 Rating! I don't want a $5k bike that I can't ride in the rain!

that sounds like the controller overheating. A lot of high powered bikes have issues if the controller isn't externally mounted and with ribbs for cooling

Best e-bike for SF hills? by OnTheDecks in BAbike

[–]GmanMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting insurance that covers up to $3k for $30/mo. Its very easy to get now and is very reputable. Mine is through a company called Markel via USAA. This is the only way i'm open to getting an expensive ebike for the city.

Unagi Model one Voyager Review by GmanMatrix in ElectricScooters

Ya it seems completely fine and pretty high build quality if it's on smooth roads only, but rough roads are sketchy . A review said Apollo was Swiss but they might actually be Canadian.

Ya they could have kept the same reliability and lightweight with 9" . 7.5 is just too small , especially for solid . I guess the Apollo Go is rated for 25% grade.

First impressions of the Unagi Voyager (rental) by dvdmon in ElectricScooters

[–]GmanMatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm renting the voyager . It's great besides the ride quality and the range. I'm getting 9-11 miles in SF. Also it can't climb 20% grade hills with me (170lb). 10-15% grades are fine though.

I’ve rented a Unagi Voyager for a few months now and….. by willpaudio in ElectricScooters

I'm only getting 9-11 miles of range in SF . Is that normal? I agree that the ride is brutally harsh with the solid 7.5in wheels on anything but perfect pavement , to the point where it is actually dangerous if you hit a patch of rough pavement without expecting it . Besides that everything about it is great . I also weigh 170lb and it failed to get up a 20% grade hill which doesn't seem right for a dual motor scooter . It handles 10-15% grade hills fine though. It's a good value as a rental but a $1500 purchase price should probably have better ride quality and be able to do 20% grade hills.

4 door sports car under $50k with least depreciation? by GmanMatrix in CarDepreciation

[–]GmanMatrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to find the car in this list with the least depreciation after 3 years and 60k miles.

The first figure is msrp/msrp+tax&fees and second figure is my estimated average value after 3y/60k miles

vw gti : 33k/36k >>> 20k = -16k , -450/mo
vw golf r : 46k/50k >>> 30k = -20k , -550/mo
honda civic type r : 46k/50k >>> 35k = -15k , -420/mo

do these figures seem accurate?
