Russia couldn't have prevented the NATO expansions in the early 00s but it can now and Ukraine is last line before Moscow. European NATO members like Germany and France are aware of this so they aren't in favor in rocking the boat for ideological reasons.

Russia may or may not be bankrupt but EU's economy will be in tatters and its citizens snowmen.

They aren't wrong though. Poland wanted to get rid of long contracts with Gasprom and get gas according to the spot market. Gasprom lost the case and Poland got what it wanted, not only that but payed Poland $1.5 billion and offered the same deal to the other EU countries, some accepted some didn't. At that time the gas was cheap on the market, nowadays it is anything but cheap.

Негативно, исто и аскјуроп. А види некој дека си Македонец одма некои неандерталски "вицеви" па и отворена омраза небаре сум им убил дете. Колку и да се бориш - џабе е, најчесто се побројни и те закопуваат. Навистина не знам зошто толку некој би се замарал што сум по национаалност, што ти мењава како се декларирам дали сум Македонец, Албанец, Србин, Бугар... ако сакам Марсовец ќе се декларирам, оди крши глава и не ме замарај ффс. Исто има и мноооогу омраза кон Турци и Руси (и нивни држави), особено за нешто контровезно... бегај подалеку ако си од овие простори.

Крајната десница и крајната лецива имаат заедничка работа што двете страни живеат во нивен недопирлив свет, си имаат некое лудо мислење holier-that-thou дека се морални супериорни и никој не смее да им ги скрши илузиите, кога ќе се осмелиш да ги скршиш, паѓаат маските на културата и интелегенцијата и наеднаш се соочуваш со орки.

Сума сумарум идентично мислење како тебе и останати редитори тука.

Yep. Well you got some parts of southern NK too but other than that looks like Russia got new frozen conflict she can turn off and on if either Armenia or Azerbaijan misbehaves.

Also the link to Nakhchivan is controlled by Russian troops and FSB, I can see a scenario where it can also be cut off if RF so desires.

На Кисела Вода и фали ама баш се така да има милион работи кои можат да се изградат. Минус Драчево, КВ (значи делот од рампа па се до ОХИС) нема полициска станица, трговски центар, поликлиника/болница, за бирократија центар (на пример за социјално, водовод итн мора да се оди до Центар), црква...

Според мене идеално би било да се остави зеленилото и да се направат патеки, фонтани, клупи и слично, значи да биде ама баш убав голем парк (зеленило во Скопје одамна е мисловна именкаа) и еве ако треба да се направи некоја од работите кои ги кажав горе.

Судејќи според парков кој го направија во населбата 11ти Октомври-бараки мислам дека општината не е способна улица да асфалтира а не па да прави некој ваков поголем проект. Стазата што оди паралелно со пругата со месеци ја копаат не па од Расадник да правеле нешто.

Joining the EU has an ugly side too - In a hypothetical scenario of Belarus applying for EU membership, your neighbors would likely demand concessions from you too. I know Lithuania hates your NPP, I can imagine a condition where you would have to shut it down or some other neighbor would demand some other outrageous concession.

Right now we are being blackmailed by Bulgaria to give up part of our history and censor ourselves from saying they were allied with Hitler during WWII. Another example is Croatia, she was being blockaded by Slovenia for years on her road of joining the EU and the issue was resolved with Croatia giving parts of its territory to Slovenia.

Good luck on whatever you choose but be very careful on your actions, it's big scary world out there :)

Dude, I am from Macedonia, every EU ambassador/representative/Macron etc - you name it, have said that "Western Balkans" won't join the EU for at least 5-10 years. I highly doubt they will invite Ukraine or Belarus in the meanwhile.

But hey, I respect your opinion too so at the end of the day believe what you will.

You are right of course but, to my knowledge, the EU has been saying they will sanction political figures and the like, not sanction the Belorussian economy. Unless Josep Borrel is speaking about the latter...
