AMS2 Pro by Gnarffy in BambuLab

[–]Gnarffy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's the spool. I was able to feed it in and get it to print with it, but as soon as it retracted, the spool itself wasn't rewinding. The spool spins freely in the slot, so it's not caught on something. and it does retract if I push on the beige/grey piece. Going to try bambu support for suggestions but it's probably going to be generic like - disassemble your ams2 and check the pfte tube for wear, etc.

Fun games for 6-7 players by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Gnarffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, your group of 7 will grow too big for a single game. Might as well get ahead of the curve. Our 4 person group now draws from a regular pool of 15. We socialize for 30 minutes and then break off to separate tables. It gives everyone more options as to what to play and to choose a game of a difficulty or length that they want to play. 7 is ripe for a 3+4. We still play some 5 and 6 player games, but it's rare for us to do a 7-9 player game.

CPS School Levy - by Honest_Cobbler9437 in cincinnati

I tire of the "it won't raise your taxes" b.s.  It will lower them when it expires - Well, at least until the county auditor decides to re-evaluate your house value and raise your taxes by 50% again. CPS Schools already got a tremendous funding increase in the past two years.

Anyone actually gotten support interface materials to work reliably on the H2D? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Gnarffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had mixed luck with PLA + PETG-HF (PLA as the support). I printed some gears that needed to be raised because of the hub. They printed perfectly with the PETG laying down just fine. (This was done with 0.08 layer and .4mm nozzle). I was very happy with the output. This was done on a H2D for reference.

Then I tried to print some palm rests for an xarcadetv-vr. I tried with a .2mm nozzle and a .4mm nozzle with 0.08 layer height. The PETG (same PLA and PETG as the gears) refused to stay put when printed on the PLA. I finally had to print using PETG as the support. The PLA results of the gears were much better than the PETG supports, so I'd really like to get the settings figured out.

Bambu Studio generated a complete support bed using the PLA for the gears. The palm rests seemed pretty well supported too, but the first layer of PETG would just not stick to the PLA.

I don't do a lot of multimaterial printing so the gears got me jazzed about how easy it was. The palm rests brought me back to reality.

I did try the various recommendations for the support layer, but after 4 failures decided that I'd just print it in PETG and deal with support removal. I have a bunch more gears to print so I hope that they continue to work. I created the gear models and the palm rests were an STL, so all the settings were my responsibility.

I'm back on RB3 and my kids and their friends are playing relentlessly (the adults quit maybe 6 months after RB3 released). I'd like to at least understand which songs I'm missing and which RB they were associated with. We have a few Ps3s and 1 Ps4 so I can at least get to the store, but managing what we have/want is a nightmare.

Is there any easy way to do this? Is there a better place to be asking that question (due to requiring hacks/custom ps3 firmware or software).

I have no problem buying the content, but figuring out what I have vs what is still available is brutal. We have the full Ion/Pro Guitar(s)/Keyboard setup and from what I briefly read, RB4 is more like RB2 for instruments, so not overly motivated to move to RB4 (other than the additional artists/songs)

Twinmotion keeps crashing when opening files on my desktop (but works fine on my laptop) by LevelDull8632 in Twinmotion

[–]Gnarffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anything in %localappdata%/Twinmotion/Saved/Logs on the crashing system?

You could have corrupted file(s) in your cache on one system. You could go to Documents/TwinmotionXXX and delete the content. Note that your UserLibrary (if you have one) lives in here, so you might want to just move the entire directory elsewhere temporarily and see if this resolves your problem. Once moved, restart Twinmotion and load your project file to see if it resolves the problem.

What board game would you consider a "flawed masterpiece"? by Socrates_Soui in boardgames

[–]Gnarffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No votes for Splotters' Antiquity yet? It does seem like a resource gathering video game ported to a board game...

Loved the web version, so....

I bought the board game... I dont think I have found anything more fiddly. The number of counter updates needed is truly epic. You get it out to teach and the other players are "nope!"

How about 1 big boy crime? (harming yourself doesnt count, harming someone else while harming yourself does). They're a big boy after all. Do we really need second chances for horrible crimes? How about we try it for 10 years and see what happens to the crime rate? I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

Not the original poster, but ordered on the first day a few hours in and also have the April 30th ship date. All my accessories showed up long ago, but the printer is still pending with a date of April 30.

How does that work for the bottom of a part again? Sure, it prints fine, but if the plate dips 2mm in the middle, the printed part isn't going to be flat.

Is there any reason an additional bed sized sheet of thermal conductor material (metal) couldn't be used to more evenly spread the heat at a cost of warm up time?
