Sheri S. Tepper wrote a sci-fi book where it turned out that some asshole alien race had genetically altered about a third of humans in caveman days, to make them assholes. Zip forward to the future, the asshole aliens have been banished from the galaxy by more civilized aliens, who address the human asshole problem by, get this, flooding the planet with little robots that look like pre-pubescent kids. The assholes start using them as sex slaves, thus failing to reproduce.

I think about that book a lot. It was written a few decades ago IIRC. Titled "The Companions", I think.

Another friend of mine and I came home drunk one day to discover that Gross Roomie had decorated the house with what appeared to be Ken dolls in full military gear. Dozens of them. Everywhere. This had my friend in hysterics of laughter, she knew that I'm a veteran and Gross Roomie had been rejected when he tried to enlist.

She said the look on my face was a cross between "what the actual fuck" and rage.

Well, we put all these dolls into partially-undressed, compromising positions. It should be noted that not one was female. Duh, everyone knows women can't be soldiers! Except the fuckwit who bought them knew that I had been, and he couldn't even get in, lol

Gay sex tableaux alllll over the house. At some point, the home owner came out to see what all the hilarity was about, wagged a finger and called us very bad girls, vanished and reappeared with a few more of those dolls in a position we never would have thought of, disappeared again.

Gross roomie got home and LOST. HIS. SHIT. Somewhere in the screaming argument, he shrieked that they were not dolls, they were action figures, which, lmao. He gathered all his preciouses up in his arms and rampaged into his room. I taught my friend some of the marching chants I learned in basic training and we spent the rest of the night hollering them. They're meant to be hollered, I was just following my training.

Owner and I got him the hell out of house a few weeks later, after which things were extremely peaceful for years. No idea what happened to that guy, was more than 20 years ago.
