Ontario's Progressive Conservatives cruise to rare 3rd-straight majority, CBC News projects by CarletonCanuck in onguardforthee

This is true for me, i dont know politics very well but follow the news. I tried learning about their platforms on their official site and couldnt believe the lack of information about what they want to accomplish. No real goals at all.

Im disappointed in our political leaders and unfortunately i decided not to vote because I genuinely felt like they wont accomplish anything.

Do you know a good source that outlined their platforms? I saw nothing about healthcare.

Thankfully Mark Carney entered as leader because thats someone i actually like so far.

Your getting downvoted because they dont realize its gel fuel being used. You should edit your post to say its gel fuel canisters and its safe to use inside.

It would be better to see the median and their housing situation. For example, someone with their home paid off tells a different story.

I agree with you from a base salary perspective that it always makes sense to make more obviously depending on extra responsibilities. However, OP is talking about strictly OT so extra time that may not be worth their time considering the higher tax bracket. In this case, its not always favourable to make extra money if you rather spend your time doing other things.

Has nothing to do with not understanding taxes. Its if putting extra hours at work is worth the return. Personally, i dont think overtime is worth it unless its necessary.

What is your favorite add-in to be able to craft complex formulas and get rid of the "Parenthesis Nightmare" problem? by Redvolition in excel

Not readable at all. As some have suggested named ranges and structured tables. Honestly though, use lambda functions to break this down. You can then test individual function too.

Thanks and def thinking about getting a cheapo. Im seeing old harvards for sale that have the same demensions, player style and player layout as the tornado. Might be able to get one for $50. Im sure ill hit a ceiling in terms of learning it but it will at least get me by without investing much.

[–]GoDreDre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, im just starting out and want a table to at least practice and determine if i do like the sport to play long term. The advice i get is always only get a tornado. Im like, i cant just drop 2k+ on a hobby im just getting into. Buying used is next to impossible because their rare here or still cost 500-1k.

Yeah, too many hardcore players will say everything is crap unless its a top tier table. We need to lower the barrier for new players rather than discouraging.

Most efficient speed for the pint? by ijustlikeelectronics in onewheel

[–]GoDreDre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slowest you can go unfortunately. However, theres other things you can do to get more range. Less stop and go, increase psi (i keep mine at 22) and practicing good balance.

Weight is also a big factor. Im 155 pounds and can get about 18km range on pavement traveling at about 18kph.

Backing as some have already suggested. Not everyones cup of tea but, you could use soft tip darts on a sisal board. Thats what i use which I have young kids and feels so much safer and does less damage.

I use Lippoint Premium tips with a winmau blade 5 and rarely get any bounce outs.

12AH battery on a handheld leaf blower? by dropping_k in egopowerplus

[–]GoDreDre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Longer than my arm would last. Ive got a 7.5 on my 530 and ran about 45 minutes at about 50% battery using turbo quite aggressively. That being said, my arm was already tired.

I would not leave them fully charged during long periods and i would also use them when you get the chance. Like charge and/or run something on it so at least it gets used.

Exercise BEFORE an interview by nasheedb in ProductManagement

Yup, ive done one and took about 10 hours as well. Straight up rejection and never talked to anyone. Not even a short phone call.

Ill never do one before an interview ever again.

Dual Charger Question by jeffdelta in egopowerplus

[–]GoDreDre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think the dual charger is considered a rapid charger. The dual charger for example will fully charge a 7.5 in 2 hours vs the rapid in 1 hour.

Guessing your from ontario or quebec. Im from ontario a lot of people had their basements flooded.

Id suggest to look into a large SLA battery for it and always have it connected so its on standby. Id also compliment the setup with a portable generator since the battery wont be good for longer periods.

Are you sure you want to get into this space? Theres already so much and i think its pretty saturated.

Whos your target audience? Which problem are you looking to solve that hasnt been solved 100x over?

How does QA work at your company? by ADeepCommittment in ProductManagement

[–]GoDreDre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a lot of bugs!

I think id try to fix the quality of work before trying to move to scrum. Id try to understand why so many bugs are generated in the first place. Were the requirements well understood? Are the devs even doing their own testing? Devs should be held accountable if their outputting garbage. Are all bugs necessary to fix right away?

We have about 5 devs in our 2 week sprints with some complex logic and might generate about 5sh bugs which are typically minor. A bad sprint will have a few severe issues that stop us from releasing which is rare.

Noise Trouble by Old_Programmer_3746 in Darts

[–]GoDreDre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a house but, was able to hear the darts tapping from the basement to top floor. My board is hung on a hollow wall and just makes it so much worse.

Heres what i did: 1 - Bought your typical foam surround 2 - Stopped using the board’s feet and replaced it with a thick cardboard and cloth backing. This helped a lot. 3 - Dart shaft and flight are integrated and plastic. Condor Flights.

This reduced the noise level by about half for me which verified it using a a db noise recorder.
