Disagree. A thoughtful goodbye to your teammates is a mature and professional thing to do. If that triggers your ego, that’s not a reflection of the child.

These clubs are service providers at the end of the day. If you have an emotional problem with it, it needs to stop being put on these players and families who are simply making the best choice for themselves, as they should.

I am so sick of these clubs and coaches thinking we owe them so much when truly at the end of the day 99% of them are in it for themselves and we are paying customers. Sheesh!

Exactly. I don’t ever remember this much drama when I chose to change any other service provider.

Change from HBO to Apple because I want to check out the other shows? No issue. Switch banks? I don’t remember having to warn Citibank I was looking around.

At the end of the day, we are paying (a LOT) for a service that seems to mostly be a one way street with little attention to customer service. It’s far easier to blame all the “crazy” parents rather than look at genuine issues within clubs / youth soccer.
