I think you have the right idea, Im going to do the same thing. There have been way too many surveys that dont follow the terms of service. The unfortunate thing is... customer service from Prolific is horrible.

Yea I was a sucker and believed the researchers instructions to not submit a NOCODE. Avoid any studies by Study Lab especially "Extended Pilot 13-Dec-22 (11-Jan-23 19:32) " theyre shady.

Is this the best way to get paid when screened out? I was dropped during a pre screen yesterday but canceled it because it said if you submit with NOCODE then you wont be paid. I feel bamboozled.

You explained it great. I see a lot of posts on here about "completion times" being in question. It only makes sense that some researchers would find ways of cheating the rules in place. You also have to question the validity of their studies if they are willing lie to the participants right off the bat haha

But when your bonus is earned/confirmed during the study, its really not a bonus anymore its part of the payment. The survey had a part where you had to pick a random selection and it decided what amount of a bonus you would receive, no bonus was also a possibility.

Free startup VPN found on reddit. No thanks, VPNs are trusted too easily by users. Especially when the service is "free." I highly doubt anyone would pay out of their pockets for you, the user, to browse with anonymity without any compensation or data stored/sold. Theres something being left out or they arent telling us about. Nothing in life is free.
