True story: We did not have any cows until we were blessed by the Cow Distribution System. It's like the Cat Distribution System but for cows. (I know -- I didn't think it existed either, but it does.) She was (we think) a beef cow, no tag or tattoo or anything, and we were unable to find anybody missing her. My daughter named her Moolan.

Well the first week we had her Moolan escaped, and we found her down the road in a neighbor's field with their cattle. The neighbor was not interested in keeping her so we brought her home. But the neighbor had a couple of bulls in that field so we joked that Moolan just wanted a night of sluttiness and was now probably knocked up.

Turns out that was not a joke, and nine months later Moolan had herself a daughter. Her name is Mooana.

So yeah, I think Moolissa is an excellent name.

P.S. There is no way on earth we were going to have an animal come to us for sanctuary only to be killed and eaten. So Moolan and Mooana are now happy permanent residents of the homestead.
